Sheriff's Deputy Charged With Assault

It has not been a good summer for law enforcement officers in Indianapolis. Marion County Deputy Sheriff Xavier Jenkins has been arrested for assault after punching a friend in the jaw during a card game according to Fox 59 News. Jenkins was reportedly drinking when the argument with his friend occurred. "The victim's jaw was fractured in three places and is now wired shut," the report says. Earlier this week, an IMPD officer was charged with driving under the influence and reckless homicide after his police cruiser crashed into two motorcyclists a week ago and killed one person and seriously injured two others. Another IMPD officer was charged last week after he discharged his handgun in his police cruiser during an argument with his girlfriend.

You can count on Jason Fishburns father to clean up the Sheriffs department as soon as he figures out what the Sheriffs department does.

Bill,

I'm sure Dennis knows what a sheriff's department is as he worked in the jail, which was more than Layton has ever done. I wonder what Layton is going to do now.... I attended a function and "X" as Mr. Jenkins likes to be called identified himself as the Layton camps official photographer.

The sheriff's department under Layton is out of control. SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, can run the place better than him. The word on the street is that several other issues are going down right now that might mean more arrests of deputies. All thanks to Layton.

This is yet another example of Frank Anderson's lower hiring standards! Frank dropped to the lowest level and it is VERY clear now the lower quality of deputy. Frank also has allowed the nepositsm and cronyism to be at the forefront. How many McAtee's and Layton's relatives, & friends, and even a neighbor were put on the public payroll?

Next election, I am voting to raise the hiring standard of the Sheriff's department, eliminate cronyism, nepotism and CLEAN HOUSE.

I'm voting Dennis Fishburn for Sheriff!

The speeding police officer, driving like a crazy man, probably drunk, hit the motorcyclists with the police car assigned him. I also cannot remember whether there was anyone else in the woods where last year or so ago, he shot the man accused of trying to rob a bank, whether there was any witnesses that can support his claim that the shooting was necessary. He might have been suffering from a mental problem, but on behalf of the grieving victims and citizens of Indianapolis, I want him off the force.

Oh, and yes, the Indiana Supreme Court should take over the investigation of David Bisard and the local police, and I am so glad that the victims have friends and families who love them and are working hard to support them, by circulating a petition demasnding this justice. Good for them!!

The Indiana Supreme Court is a court that makes judgement of appeals from lower courts. They do not have investigative duties. Many people believe because of what they see on television and movies that as police officers we cover up the wrong doing of other officers. This is not true about the overwhelming majority of law enforcement officers. We don't want criminals wearing the badge any more than any other citzen. Our dept has arrested several of our own in the past couple years. We must remember however that all of us, police officers included, are innocent until proven guilty.

I have the upmost respect for our police officers but you must remember they are people too and everyone is not right. I just want to know why most of them are so evil.

Is part of their training to be evil?
