Police Reject New Contract By 6 To 1 Margin

It looks like Public Safety Director Frank Straub's charm repugnance is working magic. More than 85% of the FOP's membership voted against a new contract offer tonight from the Ballard administration providing a 7% pay raise over a four-year period. The final vote was 748 votes against to only 126 votes for. An online Star report notes the vote came "amid concerns over a plan to move some detectives out of Downtown offices and into the districts." You read it here first.
