Another IPS Employee Arrested For Child Seduction

Local news reports indicate that another IPS employee has been arrested for having sex with a student. Shana Taylor, who works as a counselor at Phoenix Academy, has been charged with four counts of child seduction. IPS released the following statement:
“Indianapolis Public Schools has zero-tolerance when it comes to inappropriate employee behaviors. Immediately upon learning of the alleged misconduct between an employee and student, administrators swiftly launched an internal investigation and instantly took steps to ensure the accused had no further contact with students. Our team is cooperating fully in the active external investigation of this situation. The safety of our students is paramount. This is not a situation we take lightly, and our administration is working diligently to take the strongest possible action to ensure our schools are safe places for students.”
IPS just paid $490,000 to settle a lawsuit brought against by a former student who was sexually exploited by a former assistant principal for the school system.

But let's give their leader an additional raise - things really seem under control there!

The Indianapolis Privatize School Board certainly has enough money to settle any upcoming lawsuit after pink-slipping 17 principals, assistant principals, and administrators this past year. Or has the corporate board acted like any other group of directors and wasted these savings in rewarding their CEO? And since we have Phoenix, Inc. running the show, as the corporate administrator at the Academy, put them at the front in dealing with any legal action.

Institute distance learning for the entire
school system. No need for buildings anymore. Sell buildings. Parents place their children in front of a computer screen and
let their genius children learn in that manner.

Whatever happened to the case regarding a sitting city counselor?

Gary - at least this is getting publicity. Dig around the Department of Corrections and their female juvenile facility down at Madison. Multiple arrests for sexual relations with juveniles, suicide by at least one officer who may have impregnated a student. All being swept under the rug and no one is being held accountable. Another failure by the Pence Administration and everyone is getting a free pass at the costs to those most vulnerable in the DOC. It is disgusting and unfortunate and the press is totally ignoring all that is going on. Heads should be rolling from the top down. But not with this do nothing Administration.

It has apparently been going on for a long time. Charles Manson once complained that he was repeatedly raped by guards as a boy when he was in Indiana's juvenile detention care.
