Why It Matters

A Palestinian terrorist walked into a Jewish seminary today in West Jerusalem and opened fire on students in a library, killing 8 and injuring 11 others. The Hamas terrorist organization called the act "heroic." "This heroic attack in Jerusalem is a normal response to the crimes of the occupier and its murder of civilians," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said.

Last month, Democratic 7th District congressional candidate Andre Carson traveled to Washington, D.C. where an organization which our own government asserts has ties to terrorist organizations, the Council on American Islam Relations (CAIR), hosted a fundraiser for him raising tens of thousands of dollars for his campaign. CAIR was originally established by persons associated with Hamas. Carson, who boasts of his 7-month stint working as an "anti-terrorist" watch officer at our state's Department of Homeland Security, accepted a contribution from at least one attendee with suspected ties to terrorists which he later returned. The organizer for Carson's D.C. fundraiser is a person with known anti-Israel sentiments.

Are you a Rotarian, a Lions Club member or a Freemason? The Hamas charter calls for the destruction of the state of Israel and states that the Freemasons, the Lions Club, and the Rotarians all secretly “work in the interest of Zionism,” and that any Muslim who leaves “the circle of struggle with Zionism” is committing “high treason” and should be “cursed.” The Hamas charter states any land conquered by Muslims at any time (such as Spain or the Balkans) is “consecrated to the Muslims till the Day of Judgment.” The Hamas charter also states: “Jihad is not confined to the carrying of arms…The effective word, the good article, the useful book, support and solidarity…all these are elements of Jihad for Allah’s sake.”

Yes, it matters where Andre Carson is raising money to finance his campaign to represent us in Congress. Yes, it matters that he refuses to repudiate the endorsement he received from Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who describes white people as the "devil" and Jews and gays as "evil." Our local news media is hiding this information from you in an effort to secure his safe election to fill his grandmother's seat next Tuesday. Advance Indiana brings the truth to you. Use it by sharing it with your family and neighbors before next Tuesday's election.

Gary, as usual, BRAVO! You have a wonderful talent for forming words in to thoughts that are clear and true. Amazing. A few friends of mine also agree.

Excellent job! Thank you.

his post is garbage. Trying to link Andre Carson to Hamas is a joke. Not sure why a normally somewhat open minded blog would resort to Karl Rove tactics.

What happened today in Jerusalem is a tragedy just as what happens in Gaza everyday is a tragedy. But it has nothing to do with Andre Carson.

This is exactly why I dropped my subscription with the Star. I'm sick and tired of Ryerson ordering his staff to kill any negative stories about a black politician. Ryerson and his useless wife at WTHR, Mary Milz, ought to be run out of town. They're both poor excuses for journalists. A friend of mine works at the Star and has told me how he kills all of their best stories for some bullshit PC reason.

Gary, You won't believe what Abdul said on his show this morning. A caller brought up the issue of Carson raising money from persons suspected of terrorist ties. Abdul launched into a tirade saying this issue was being fanned by people who want to round up all Muslims in America, put them on train cars and place them in concentration camps where they will be branded. He said he talked to Andre about the questionable contributions and Andre said it was just an honest mistake by his campaign. Abdul has completely lost all objectivity in this campaign. I can't even stand to listen to him anymore. He's as bad as Amos on blaming race and religious bigotry for everything.

anon 7:52, Abdul has developed a deep-seated hatred towards both fellow blogger Ruth Holladay and me because we exposed the truth about his role behind IndyUndercover. Ironically, that site was reknowned for branding Democratic politicians like Sheriff Anderson, Monroe Gray and Vernon Brown with negative black stereotypes. Just consider the source.

I didn't take your post at face value Mr. Welsh, I did my own research on what you have reported regarding Andre Carson.
Well, I found your research on CAIR to be absolutely correct. In looking at Carson's FEC report it is a fact that he did recieve cash from known Hamas supporters.
Apparently the local media is not aware that the United States is at war. Failure on the media's part to make the American people aware of where Carson is receiving money for his campaign is really nothing more than outright treachery.
If this local radio person Shabaaz is spinning the Carson-CAIR-Hamas money connection as anything more than what our own government has found then he needs to be fired.
I respect people of faith of all religions but I do not support those would like to see me dead.

You would think that someone who worked for the Department of Homeland Security would be doubly sure to not take money from the wrong people. Guess that goes to show how "smart" Andre really is.
