Federal Grand Jury Subpoenas Lake County Surveyor Employees

Earlier this summer, a team of FBI agents raided the offices of Lake Co. Surveyor George Van Til and left with arms full of paper and electronic records they seized from the office. Lake Co. Attorney Attorney John Dull has confirmed to the Northwest Indiana Times that at least two employees of the office have received subpoenas to appear before a federal grand jury on August 15. Van Til is seeking re-election this year. He declined requests from Democratic Party leaders that he drop his re-election plans.
