The Gannett folks at the Indianapolis Star have been waiting with bated breath to see Patriots quarterback Tom Brady burned at the stake over allegations he ordered footballs used in games, including the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, deflated to gain an advantage.
Sports columnist Gregg Doyel, whose columns get far more play by the newspaper than any substantive news story that might impact your life directly ever received, unleashed on the verdict for Brady, including news he had destroyed his cell phone. And boy did he unleash.
Doyel called Brady a "cheater." Not strong enough. He called him a "liar." Still not good enough. "He's a man of low integrity," Doyel proclaimed. The cell phone destruction, though, sent him over the edge. "But that revelation that Brady had destroyed his cell phone before his interview with Ted Wells makes it clear what species, what kind of cretin, we're looking at," Doyel declared.
It's funny that I don't recall any Gannett reporter becoming that exercised when it was learned earlier this year that Hillary Clinton wiped clean the computer server in her home on which she had illegally stored, received and sent
classified e-mails while serving as our nation's Secretary of State. If Tom Brady is "a man of low integrity" and a "cretin" because of "deflategate," where does that leave Hillary Clinton and her "Benghazigate."
Does her exclamation, "What difference does it make," register any words of condemnation from anyone at Gannett? I, mean, hey, she only sat back and watched snuff films of Ambassador Chris Stevens being dragged from his consular post, raped, tortured and killed by ISIS thugs she and the administration in which she served helped train, arm and fund to create mayhem in Libya, Syria, Iraq and the rest of the world. It's all just a game, though, for our viewing pleasure, right?

Benghazi. Not a story. E-mail gate. Also not a story. Republican talking points hammered the Benghazi story day after day for months. Nobody cared. The man in the street had no idea what they were talking about. Still doesn't. Same with the e-mails. It just doesn’t resonate with the public. They aren’t listening. They just don’t care about another Republican made up issue. Their man Reagan had a much worse embassy/consulate bombing during his administration, so there's this hypocrisy. Only right wind pundits care about Bengazi/email gate, and nobody cares what pundits care about. The public is paying attention to Trump. Its all Trump right now. All these other so called issues are background noise that will be dead come the election. Brady cheated during the Super Bowl. Almost every man has an opinion about that. The Brady scum meme is strong. Go Colts.
don't forget that Clinton contracted out the Benghazi attacks to the Pats and spung Hernandez to lead them...
Mr. Welsh is absolutely right about the lack of proportion or scaling of relevance. The contrived, on reserve or stocked indignation, for the inane & infantile, exposes an intent to distract, driven by politics of an insidiously manipulative narrative; one of statism.
Anon 7:55 serves such a dish of distraction, from that which people can & do discern as relevant; the uniform application of standards known as law. If there's no common language; there is no common & there is no law.
Here is what should be the defining moment for Hillary on Libya - http://wearechange.org/hillary-clinton-on-gaddafi-we-came-we-saw-he-died/.
Her statement captured on Video - “We came, we saw, he died”, referring to Gaddafi. No one in the McMega-Media seems to be interested in asking Hillary, how Libya turned out. Her giddy laughter at Gaddafi's death should provide a Big Clue that Hillary is not fit to be President. There is this outrage about our Ambassador being killed in Libya, but no outrage about the current state of anarchy in Libya, because of Western Attacks.
Yesterday, Hillary bluntly said she would not provide her position on the Keystone XL Pipeline, "If it is undecided when I become president, I will answer your question."
Back to Gannett though it is obvious they want to avoid at all costs any type of basic journalism and hype up something ( A football) that in the scheme of things is unimportant to the world at large. The Star is Pathetic.
I think the majority of Americans are sick of politicians in general, federal agencies in general. Sick of them not following the law, not just the constitution, ie emailwhitewatergate, irsemailgate, chris stevens/ron brown/vince foster whitewatergate, fastandfuriousgate. Nsagate. Continuous0bamacorruption/scandalgates. Sick of politicians claiming they will clean up the place and instead make it worse. The people care about what happened to Chris Stevens, his seals, seal team 6 dying in wekilled0samagate, our borders being kept wide open, the deficit, but the people they elected to take care of this shit aren't taking care of this shit - they're taking part in it, enabling it and encouraging it.
Brady simply needs to let everyone know that he had no 'important' texts that were destroyed and then state that Hillary did the same thing.....that would send the media running and this story wouldn't even be touched by the liberal press.
Gannett has reporters? I thought they just hired people who trolled social media to see what people were talking about...
