Columbus City Council Member Forgets To Close Shades, Charged With Indecent Exposure

Columbus City Councilman Dascal D. Bunch
Indiana State Police say a Republican member of the city council on three different occasions exposed himself when he stood next to windows in his home unclothed without the shades pulled. Dascal D. Bunch has been charged with one count of indecent exposure based on three separate incidents reported by Bunch's neighbors, which took place in March and November of 2015 and a third time in January according to the Columbus Republic. Columbus Police turned the complaint over to ISP to investigate after determining the accused was a city council member.

The charges were brought by Jennings Co. Prosecutor Brian Belding after Bartholomew Co. Prosecutor Bill Nash, a Republican, requested the appointment of a special prosecutor to handle the case. Superior Court Judge Kathleen Coriden, also a Republican, has said she intends to recuse herself from the case and request the appointment of a special judge. The criminal complaint alleges that Bunch positioned himself in front of the uncovered windows so people could easily view him through his uncovered windows. Assuming for the sake of argument that Bunch was doing nothing more than standing in front of his windows naked and not exposing himself to minors, do you think he committed a crime? I ask the question because I've heard people frequently joke about their neighbors forgetting to pull their shades.

UPDATE: It appears complaints about Bunch have extended back to at least 2011. A neighbor complained in 2011 that children out on the street were able to see a pornographic movie Bunch was viewing from a TV mounted on his living room wall. Columbuzz reported on several incidents over the years that neighbors believed were not being properly investigated by police. One neighbor, Michelle Geron, even took pictures of the incidents and shared them with police. Read the past reports by Colubuzz here.

No crime here. If you look in people's windows you might see a resident naked. If you don't want to see naked people in their own homes, don't look in people's windows.

Hillary can illegally murder Gadaffi and set up her own email server, Bill can lie under oath, Obama can force me to buy insurance, don't get me started on Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld, yet a guy (maybe being a jerk or jerking off) is charged for doing something in his own home. Makes me proud when everyone stands up for National Anthem in government-rip off sports arenas.

From my non-legal and perhaps illegally thinking mind, it shouldn't be a crime to be naked in your own home.

That some perverts are staring into your windows waiting to be offended by something is their problem, not yours.

I'm with Eric Morris.

Unfortunately some PERVERTS succeed in drawing attention to themselves by flapping curtins with bright lights shining on themselves and THEN proceed to run out on their patios at night with their flood lights being turned off and on drawing further attention to their activities.

It may be one thing to just be innocently naked in your home. It is an entirely different matter when acts are performed, drawing attention to perverted conduct. The PERVERT may not be the one staring into your windows......but there are some perverts that take up "window peeping". Hard to determine perverted behavior unless you know ALL the facts.

So anon 553 - it sounds like you have the facts. So spill it. Up to now I tend to go with everyone else. Stay out of my bedroom

6:55 No facts here, just "sayin" those types of things described happen and have happened. It may not be just someone specifically continuing to observe. Rather, being drawn in to observe is something of which to be aware.

Two comments struck me as factless foolish. Very few people want to be inside someone's home, unless they are an invitee. (let alone a bedroom; not meant as a personal attack)

Another lascivious sex story from the family value's crowd of republicans.

Can they possibly be any more disgusting?

Just another right-wing, religious, conservative Republican PERVERT.

Eric, Reagan can bomb the Gaddafi family compound and leave two American pilots to drown in the Mediterranean but gets a pass. Gaddafi is captured alive and executed by Libyans - so who's the murderer?

Anon 11:12: I can't disagree and now believe Carter was the least bad president of my lifetime, especially considering he appointed the only decent Federal Reserve chair in my life, Paul Volcker.

Who knows if this sicko is a criminal? He is much less likely to do time than Cambodia bomber Kissinger, though. Beat off in front of three people in your own home, get charged with a crime; kill thousands from 30,000 feet thousands of miles from your shores and get Nobel Peace Prizes. "I pledge allegiance to the flag!"

Democrat weirdos, sex perverts and peeping toms wanting to be offended by looking in this man's windows. They need to be charged as peeping toms.
