IMPD Officer Returns To Duty After Pleading Guilty To DUI

An IMPD officer arrested by Fishers police in May for operating a vehicle while intoxicated has been returned to active duty after earlier being placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest. Blood-alcohol tests showed Officer Christopher White's alcohol level was more than double the legal limit at 0.182. Officer White pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering another person. A one-year jail sentence was suspended with credit given to White for two days he served in the Hamilton County jail following his arrest. His driver's license was also reinstated as part of his plea agreement. It has been suspended for a 70-day period from May 25 through August 5. He has also been placed on probation for the remaining 363 days of his suspended sentence. Officer White works as a detective for IMPD. At the time of his arrest, IMPD said a first-time DUI offense typically resulted in a 30-day suspension of the officer without pay.

Well why not?
The president doesn't obey the law so why should the police?

Okay, let's play this back. The guy was pulled over, arrested, jailed for two days (never spent an hour in jail myself, but two days must feel like an eternity), went before a judge, suspended from work (likely without pay), lost his license for over two months and could not drive, probably paid through the nose in fines; court costs; vehicle redemption; etc. has been shamed publicly and has an indelible mark on his IMPD record now which could diminish all manner of internal and external professional opportunities. I'll intuit that this was his first offense and his record was probably clear. If if happens to him again, he'll most likely be fired. What more do you want?

The post recites the known facts. It takes no position on what transpired. What do you want, anon. 11:39? No reporting at all?

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I was responding to Josh and the implication the officer somehow avoided repercussions. The article was fine, and sans any editorializing as you said.

LOL at Josh since every single action in today's world or more like his demented world, somehow has relevance to President Obama.

Get help dude!!

Well not really, anon 1:10, if w had been the president the cop said was ignoring the constitution I still would have posted it. A totalitarian tyrant is a totalitarian tyrant. 0bama's not the problem in America, he's more like a symptom or product of it.

Occupiers always protect their own just like they tried to tank the case against David Bisard
