Pentagon Paid Colts, Pacers For Patriotic Events

Our greedy, billionaire professional sports team don't even allow displays of patriotism at their publicly-financed and subsidized sports palaces unless they're paid to do it. The Pentagon paid professional sports team owners at least $9 million over the past several years to put on patriotic events during sporting events. One of the largest recipients was Indianapolis Colts' owner Jim Irsay, who pocketed at least $420,000 for patriotic events during Colts games. Pacers' owner Herb Simon received at least $115,000. Arizona's Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake made public the paid patriotism expenditures in a report recently released by their offices.

This is an old story, and the media is just now getting it legs, how pathetic!
