Founding Fathers Know Best

I've been reading this weekend a satire written by Ross Puskar, titled "Founding Fathers Know Best." The book centers around a fictional Presidents Club whose membership is made up of the spirits of all deceased Presidents. The spirits of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison are chosen to conduct an intervention of sorts with President Obama in an effort to help right the course of the country. Puskar seems like an unlikely person to write a book I found thought-provoking, educational and entertaining. He's a retired Dallas advertising agency executive with "a passion for history and politics." Yet his knowledge of, and his ability to explain our Constitution rivals that of many learned constitutional scholars.

The spirits of Adams, Jefferson and Madison visit Obama at the White House over a several day period to engage him on all of the big issues facing our country today, including the regulatory reach of the federal government, energy and the environment, the state of our public education system, immigrant  and Islam, as well as issues of past that have greatly divided our country, including slavery, racism and discrimination of all forms with the accompanying lasting impact. Puskar's portrayal of Obama's defensive reaction to the intervention, dovetails well with Dinesh D'Souza's "2016: Obama's America", a film currently playing in theaters based on D'Souza's book, "The Root's of Obama's Rage," which is doing surprisingly well for a low-budget documentary.  Regardless of your political views, Puskar's book will challenge your thinking and political views.

I am quite sure the founders are rolling in their graves and are paying visits to some.

Nancy Pelosi claims that Alice Paul and other women joined her at the White House and over-powered the chair she was sitting in.

As much as I don't like Pelosi's politics, I do not think this is her imagination gone wild. I think her experience was very much real and I feel certain she received communication.
