Rev. Wright: Like A Child Who Made A Bad Decision
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright returned this weekend to preach at Trinity United Church of Christ, the south side Chicago church Barack Obama quit earlier this year after controversial sermons made by Wright from the pulpit there before he retired last year became public. Wright compared Obama to a child who made a bad decision when speaking of Obama's decision to distance himself from him and the church according to the Sun-Times. "I can no more disown him than I can disown any other child of mine who makes [a] bad decision," Wright said. "He made a bad decision, but he's still my child." He also called The View's Elizabeth Hasselback "a dumb broad" and criticized the American government for committing abuses of "old colonial powers" at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib.
