Frank Anderson For Mayor, Anyone?

There's a rumor Marion Co. Sheriff Frank Anderson is interested in running for Indianapolis mayor in 2011. He will be ineligible to seek another term as sheriff when his current term ends in 2010. It doesn't seem real plausible to me that he would run, but it's a rumor making the rounds.

Hmmm, maybe that's why the Democrat members of the council have been disappointingly quiet about the problems Sheriff Anderson is having with the privatized jails. The D's seem willing to let a lot slide from the Sheriff on an issue that is normally right up the Democrats' alley (pointing out problems with privatization). The fact he is a possible Mayor candidate would be an explanation why there is a reluctance to say anything that might be negative about the Sheriff

I truly hope this isn't the case.

I've heard rumors that Bart Peterson may run again and Melina Kennedy is interested. I just don't see Frank Anderson in the mix.

Everyone inside knows that Frank is suffering some infirmity, be it Alzheimer's or senility...but he lacks the physical ability to run. Just look now! He does not appear in public and crony's are running the sheriff's department.

Does it seem impossible that a successful Black office holder would run for mayor????

Indy4U2C, Don't confuse general incompetence as an administrator with anything else. That's what Democrats over in Illinois are trying to do to excuse Blagoyevich's outrageous conduct.

art, who said anything about Frank being successful? He made his fame by forcing US Marshalls to stand outside of a church for days and days and days trying to talk people out of a church they had no more right to be in. Yay.

No more politics in policework? Yeah, didn't even come close on that one amigo.

I don't see what race has to do with it.

Look closer, Gary! Melina Kenady is the Democrats choice for Mayor. If they wanted to run someone that had a chance of getting elected, they would run André Carson. He's really good at starting things and not finishing, and he has the support of people who will vote for him 6 or 7 times each.

7th CD Guy....if you have proof of people voting 6 or 7 times, you are obligated to report it....if you dont, the shut your piehole!!!
