Avoiding ParkIndy Fraud

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. That's a lesson I've learned when receiving a parking ticket from Park Indy, the private consortium that has a 50-year lease to operate the parking meter assets of our fair city of Indianapolis. Never mail the payment for your $20 parking ticket to Park Indy in the envelope provided to you online. Regardless of when you mail the payment, it will not arrive within the 7 days that automatically triggers a doubling of the parking fine from $20 to $40. It will sit in the mail room because the folks who run the enterprise know that just delaying the processing of parking fines received by mail allows them to double the amount they collect from parking fines. Make the payment online so there is no possibility of the folks entrusted with processing the payments from sitting on your parking fine payment until the fine doubles. It's pretty sad when a supposed government enterprise is run like the back alley operations our Attorney General's consumer protection division has to combat on a daily basis.

You messing with the Ballard Pension Plan? Why wouldn't Periods for Pence take up a better cause and send their materials to Lying Joe with cc to impotent Governor of Indiana and his lazy AG?

They won't even hire Ballard.

I shop in Carmel and Fishers, at places with big, wide, parking lots.

I can't imagine even bothering with an Indianapolis parking meter when there are so many ways to avoid dealing with that mess.

Now that you mention this watch the clowns behind ParkIndy to somehow start leaking out your financials to the "darknet" and you'll find yourself with a stolen identity.

Why avoid ParkIndy fraud when you can simply Avoid Indy altogether? Hamilton County has pretty much everything Indy does except professional sports and I imagine it's just a matter of time before the Eleven is up in Carmel so there's that. I'm just one person, but I go out of my way to spend my money in other communities because I simply can't stand the stench that is the Ballard, no wait, the new guy's administration.

Just another way of ripping off the Citizens of Indiana and its visitors.

Or Westfield. Since we're paying huge money for Grand Park. We already have a two-bit minor league basketball team playing there, why not some two-bit minor league soccer team. It's not like over in EU or UK where minor league teams can play well in consecutive seasons and get promoted to the big leagues. Nope - once minor league, always minor league.

The one and only time I parked at a ParkIndy meter I got double charged when I swiped my credit card.

Now I don't dine in downtown restaurants at all. I said goodbye to Mass Ave which was easy because there are so many great restaurants in Carmel and Fishers where there is abundant free parking. Even free covered parking in Carmel.

Interesting how many downtown Indy restaurants are opening Carmel locations, by the way. Bru Burger, Punch Burger, and Mimi Blue Meatballs join already established Bazbeaux and others.

Go North, young man. Spend your money in Hamilton County which offers almost everyone Indy does without the parking hassles.

Go past the donut counties and skip paying the 2% sales tax to support billionaire team owners and the downtown corporate elites.

Hey, let's NOT forget OUR USELESS, FECKLESS, CAREER CITY COUNTY COUNSELORS WHO ALLOWED ALL THIS BALLARD CORRUPTION TO STAND.

Yes, the Ballard Stink continues to reek but if Indy's jackass City Councilors like Adamson, Miller, Mary Moriarty Adams and Ben Hunter (at the time), Freeman, Osili, Pfisterer, and Janice McHenry to name a couple, had actually given a shit about their constituents instead of crony insiders, and stood up to a law breaking fat bastard like Ballard.... oh, what's the use? The new mayor is just like the old mayor... to paraphrase the rock song. Nothing's changed.. 25th floor or jerkward City County Councilors

Punch Burger utterly sucks. They have horrible Indy-style awful customer service.

Don't bring those low customer-service standards up to Carmel. Keep that in Indy. If I want awful Downtown Indy service, I know where to find it. Don't pollute Carmel with that trash.

I have to disagree with you, anon 8:48. I have had nothing but outstanding service and excellent food at both Bru Burger and Punch Burger Carmel locations. Much better than the Indy locations!

My office is between Bru and Punch in Indy and I have experienced poor service, long waits for food (nearly an hour wait two different times dining in at Bru) incorrect take out orders, etc so that I no longer visit the Indy locations. I am extremely happy to have them in Carmel.
