Sandlin To Seek Waltz' Senate Seat


Indianapolis City-County Councilor Jack Sandlin is set to announce his plans to seek the Republican nomination in the District 36 state senate race next year to replace Brent Waltz. Sen. Waltz is giving up his Senate seat to seek the Republican nomination for the 9th congressional district seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Todd Young, who is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Dan Coats.

Sandlin will formally launch his campaign tomorrow at the VFW Post at 1850 S. East Street at 11:00 a.m. Sandlin, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, is a former Perry Township Trustee and retired Indianapolis police officer. Sandlin operates Jack Sandlin & Associates, a private investigation firm.  Sandlin is also a U.S. Army veteran.
