Blago Indictment Anticipated

Impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is expected to be hit with a far-reaching indictment before the day's over from U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who has already sent his predecessor, former Gov. George Ryan, off to prison. The news should be posted on the U.S. Attorney's website soon.

UPDATE: And so it is a sweeping indictment. It includes the former guv, his brother and four big hitters in the influence peddling business. You can see the full 75-page indictment here.

I wish Fitzgerald would be appointed U. S. Attorney Southern District of Indiana...and do what has to be done!

Indy4U2C, I was thinking the same thing. There are plenty of prosecutions here that need to be done.

Amen, on the appointment of Fitzgerald. maybe we can hope for for one of his Assistant US Attorney's getting the nod.

The only problem is there are not enough courtrooms in the Federal Building to hold all the malfeasance and the culprits once the parade starts.

The feds have a grand jury seated and its members are currently hearing evidence about anti-trust violations. Indiana is the new Chicago!

It will be nice to see him out of the light of day. He is getting very sickening.
