Former Hendricks County Deputy Faces Drug And Corruption Charges

It's not been a good week for area public safety officers. A former Hendricks County deputy sheriff, Jason Woods, is facing several felony charges, including dealing in the synthetic drug spice, bribery, official misconduct and assisting a criminal.

You may recall that Woods and his wife, Teresa, also a former Hendricks County deputy sheriff, were both charged in 2014 with possession of synthetic drugs as part of a nationwide crackdown on the synthetic drug.

Woods and his wife were good friends with Russell Taylor, the Jared Fogle pal and employee who was convicted along with Fogle as part of a child pornography investigation. Taylor would smoke spice with the Woods when they got together socially according to court documents.

And Riggs appointments are at best, lackluster.
