Pence Appoints Alicia Gooden To Marion Superior Court

Gov. Mike Pence announced this morning he has selected Alicia Gooden to fill the Marion Superior Court vacancy created after he named Judge Robert Altice, Jr., to the Indiana Court of Appeals. Gooden, a family law mediator with The Mediation Group, is married to City-County Councilor Will Gooden (R), an attorney with the law firm of Clark Quinn & Moses.

Maybe a better move than what he did in Gooden's old home town of Muncie. There he passed over a prominant local Republican lawyer to appoint a Democrat of uncertain talent. His underlings are having a hard time papering over the discontent and one should expect Pence Must Go signs to appear on Republican lawns there.

Ms. Gooden is well qualified for the position. It cannot be said that the Governor made a bad decision here.

What's the point of Pence getting beat up by the press every day for being too conservative if he's only going to appoint pro-abortion feminists and other RINOs like Gooden to any position of importance?

That is a big mistake! When she served previously as a judicial officer she had unusual rulings that seemed to favor women. I believe she does not like men and that will likely reflect in her decisions on the bench.

Alicia is well-qualified, as were the other applicants (I've practiced before Judges Cook, Hooper & Seiter). The Governor had an excellent crop to choose from.

I have seen her judicial opinions and courtroom demeanor as a judicial officer. I concluded she is a Femi-Nazi, who dislikes (or worse) men.

In my opinion, she's a horrible judge and has no business being a judge. I filed a complaint against her, Cale Bradford and several other republican judges in federal court back in 2006. She'll be happy to know I'm still suffering (11 years later) from what I believe to be her low-down acts from when she presided over my case. In my opinion, she's a horrible judge and Mike Pence is even a more low down individual for appointing her.
