Ellsworth Tops Hostettler In Poll

Eighth District Democratic candidate Sheriff Brad Ellsworth is leading incumbent Rep. John Hostettler according to a WISH-TV poll. Ellsworth is favored by a 44%-40% margin. Independents are making a big difference in the race. According to the poll results, Ellsworth is favored by 52% of those who identified themselves as independents. The telephone poll of 400 likely voters was conducted Sept. 5-8 by Maryland-based Research 2000 the AP reports. It's interesting that the poll results for both the 8th and 9th District races show the incumbents with just 40% support. Incumbent congressional candidates with numbers that low almost always lose unless there's a strong third party candidate. Neither race features a strong third party challenger.

Wonder if many members of the General Assembly have numbers like those...

Stick a fork in Ho. If he goes, Indiana will have one less embarrassing Congressman.

Now, how do we get rid of newlywed DannyBoy?

Can't he become Ambassador to the North Pole or something?

"No Park Left Behind" isn't working for Eric Dickerson either. That same poll puts him at only 35% --- maybe some more mud-slinging from Jocelyn and Darla will get him up to 36% ya think?

35% of what? just Center Township? Those polls are crapola and you know it. You don't need to show ID to respond to a poll :P

44% to 40% with a 5% error I call that a very close race.

that poll in the 7th District had Carson at 55%, Dickerson at 35%, 10% undecided. Polls like that wont help Eric Dickerson raise much money beyond the $367.48 he last reported..."No Park Left Behind" is hardly a winning slogan either ...

I feel sorry for all of you guys who have absolutely nothing better to do with your time, besides spread your uneducated, propagandist opinions drummed up in your naive little brains. The fact of the matter is that Ellsworth would, and probably should, unseat congressman Hostettler; if it were not for the sheriff's failure to acknowledge Terre Haute's existence within the district..... thank God he's such a rookie!!!!!!!!
