Posting Comments

Due to the unfortunate mischief of some disturbed individuals who have nothing better to do than spam this site, extra hoops will have to be jumped through to post comments, at least for the time being. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the uncivil leave me no other choice.

I must admit, Gary. I'm a little perplexed over why the pro-homophobic singer advocates have targeted your site. We had it up first over at bilerico.com and our audience is aimed more at LGBT folk. Yours is more politically aimed...

Thankfully, while their have been pro-Banton comments left on our site, they've been civil - not medical treatises on colon cancer or homophobic reggae lyrics...

Moderation is often the price of a successful blog. I sympathize with you.

I'm a volunteer moderator (1 of 8) on a major national blog (FireDogLake). The blog is also protected by some pretty sophisticated filter systems. Even so, that blog gets 3000 comments a day. Porn and wingnuts are the biggest problems...

Does blogger have a 'langth filter' that traps massive comments (flooding)? That could help your chore. It's my opinion that you could make life easier for yourself by using that length trap in connection with the old 'visual confirm' system. Then you wouldn't have to approve each comment one by one. The repartee will be snappier too...

Gary,
the GOP ad is on indianaonmessage.com

Take a look. Love to know what you think

The GOP crime ad is ok. I think it could have even more punch to it. But it's definitely an issue which resonates. I think it is more effective at softening Peterson up for next year's mayoral election. The emphasis on the crime rate has so far been in the prosecutor's race. The sheriff and IPD really have more impact on the day-to-day problems we're experiencing right now. If law enforcement was doing a better job, the recent crime explosion wouldn't be so bad.

Bil, you're welcome to them.

Yeah, I shouldn't have put my foot in my mouth, eh? Now we're getting colon cancer facts! Oh well, we moderate comments from folks who haven't signed up with the site. It's pretty easy to just hit the delete key every now and then.

I posted about your problem over here and they quickly came to jump in. I left those comments, I'll just delete all the rest on other posts. We have a few tech geek contributors, so if they continue we'll track them down. :) No big deal.

Sorry you're having to suffer through the attempted intimidation. It goes to show why the concert needed canceled. If Buju had gone on stage and said "Kill Queers!" this guy would have been the first to pick up a gun... *sigh*

To All Concerned:

It is time for Julia M. Carson, the incumbent congresswoman, soon to be retired in the 7th District to answer the charges made on these blogs. No other person can speak for her. The voters have a right to know if the charges are true or false.

Not Andy Jacobs, Wilson Allen or any of her supporters can answer to these allegations for her under the penalties of perjury.

If she chooses not to answer, voters may assume that she is guilty as charged.

The websites have been flooded with opinions and comments. My name has been mentioned numerous times in a negative way by Wilson Allen 46201. If you do not have proof that she was not involved in these events, you must remain silent until she responds.

At the appropriate time, I will produce evidence and witnesses.

Enough said regarding any comments I have written on these blogs.
