Democrat Convicted Of One Of Largest Absentee Ballot Fraud Cases In State's History Files To Run For North Vernon Mayor As Independent

A former Democratic state lawmaker and prominent campaign operative from Jennings County who pleaded guilty to three felony charges involving the operation a massive absentee vote fraud scam has filed paperwork to run for North Vernon mayor as an independent candidate according to the North Vernon Plain Dealer. Mike Marshall told the Plain Dealer he decided to run for mayor because of his opposition as a business owner to North Vernon's Stellar Community projects, which includes the closing of Short Street. Marshall says business owners were lied to about the street closing and will be adversely impacted by it.

The Jennings County Democratic Party chair, Karen Snyder, is not pleased by Marshall's decision. "I don't know why Mike filed for office. He hasn't talked to us," said Snyder, Jennings County Democratic Party chair. "He has a right to do that, though, and that is a freedom I appreciate." Or does he have a right to run for public office in Indiana? Indiana law seems to suggest he does not have a right to run for public office because of his past three felony convictions.

Marshall agreed to plead guilty to three felony charges rather than fight dozens of felony charges filed by state prosecutors against him. He served an 18-month sentence, and his attorneys were successful in getting those three felony convictions reduced to misdemeanor charges earlier this year after he served his sentence. State law says a person is disqualified from becoming a candidate for office if he pleaded guilty to a felony charge, even if a court subsequently reduces the felony conviction to a misdemeanor offense. Presumably, someone will contest his candidacy citing that state law.

so much for richard sutton's bombast about never having any voter fraud in Indiana.....Republicans are no longer organized well enough to do it but the D's own it.

A Democrat involved in vote fraud. No surprise.

A Democrat convicted of vote fraud. Now that's a surprise.

So he isn't getting the Charlie White treatment? Why am I not surprised?

Richard (sometimes "Rich" other times "Rick") Sutton... a bombast? To paraphrase Captain Louis Renault in "Casablanca"... "I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, to learn Rick Sutton is a bombast!".

Rick and his good buddy United real estate salesperson Kevin Warren are a match made in Gehenna.

Anyone who has ever "enjoyed" a political ideas exchange with far let of center Democrat Rick Sutton knows quite well that he resorts to bullying, hate speech, intolerance, mockery, talking/shouting over you, cursing, deception, and unsupportable claims for his extreme leftist positions. I don't know how the hell Rick Sutton can screech that Democrats have never been involved in Indiana voter fraud.

Just two examples for Rick Sutton: in 2013, former longtime St. Joseph County Democratic Party Chairman Butch Morgan Jr. was found guilty of felony conspiracy counts to commit petition fraud and forgery, and former county Board of Elections worker Dustin Blythe was found guilty of felony forgery counts and falsely making a petition, after being accused of faking petitions that enabled Obama, then an Illinois senator, to get on the presidential primary ballot for his first run for the White House.

I am convinced that liberalism is a mental disorder; I believe liberalism is also like a religious cult. The Pied Piper-like disciples of the liberal "religion" will stubbornly adhere to any loony liberal idea (but I repeat myself) even if the liberal idea is in direct opposition to the basic tenets of their own religious faith [e.g.: Catholics who claim belief in the "sanctity of life" yet vote for Obama and any Democrats with a strident core philosophy of abortion on demand and late term infanticide and Jews who vote for a White House tenant who constantly sides with those who publicly and repeatedly tell the world the Jews must be obliterated from the face of planet Earth).

One thing I've learned over the decades:

Conservatives, almost always, will hear out your positions whereas Liberals, almost always, will shut you down rather than allow expression of thought contrary to their own.

United Real Estate now has some serious problems.

To Anon 9:05- Not only does United Real Estate now have some serious problems... but so does MIBOR (Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS). THIS is the image of the Indianapolis REALTOR?!? I'd rather go FSBO. Certainly would think thrice about hiring United or anyone associated thereto.
