Fifth District Candidates Raising Lots Of Dough

Everyone is raising lots of money in the Fifth congressional district Republican primary race. Incumbent Dan Burton comes out on top, but his four primary opponents collectively have raised a lot more than him. The numbers by candidate are as follows:

Dan Burton ($152,000)
Luke Messer ($127,000)
Mike Murphy ($103,000)
John McGoff ($66,000)
Brose McVey ($52,000)

It's a shame that so much money is being consumed by a race that will ultimately be won by one of the Republicans. It would be nice to see that much money flowing into the races of challengers in the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th congressional districts.

This is the only chance of getting a new Republican in office...beating Dan Burton. 2nd is safe, 7th is safe, 8th is safe...9th is probably safe.
