Democrats Sink To New Low On Palin Attacks

The South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman Carol Fowler thinks the only reason Sen. John McCain chose Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate is because she hasn't had an abortion. Note that Carol Fowler is wife of Donald Fowler, the former DNC chairman who got busted joking on an airplane back from Denver about God being on the side of the Democrats because of the untimely arrival of Hurricane Gustav. Politico's Jonathan Martin reports:

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome.

Fowler told my colleague Alex Burns in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women.

“Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.

Told of McCain's boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: "Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

What is with the complete inaneness in the reaction of these so-called educated professional women to Gov. Palin? Has anyone noticed how Sheila Kennedy has become completely unhinged over Palin's selection? Her recent blog entries over at the American Values Alliance rely heavily on the Daily Kos for sourcing and are just about as reliable. On McCain's decision to pick Palin, she writes, "It's also profoundly insulting to women, although I doubt the wrinkly old white guy realizes that." Unconcerned about accuracy, Kennedy said of Palin, "No doubt, voters will note those comments come the fall, along with her abuse of power issues, 2000 Pat Buchanan support and her hard-right creationism." Here, Kennedy jumps from hitting Palin for minimizing Obama's "community organizing" experience to accusing her of spitting in the face of parents with special needs children (Palin is one): "Decades ago, before the ADA and a raft of other legislation, schools had essentially no requirements to provide decent education for special needs children. Then a movement of parents, engaging in -- gasp -- community organizing changed that. And they continue to fight day in and day out for educational equity for children like Sarah Palin's. Too bad Sarah Palin just spit in their faces." Wow, Sheila! Do you really hate Sarah that much? And you're calling John McCain "despicable"? By the way, Sheila, the kind of community organizing you reference was nothing like the racial agitator role in which Obama was engaged on Chicago's South Side. So much for the American Values Alliance being a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization.

Nothing Democrats could do or say could compare to the mean spirited low attacks on Barack Obama by the McCain campaign.

You know I have been thinking long and hard about good ole' Barry, and all that he could do.

While not a fan of BOs, I found out today that he really has a lot in common with someone that I do respect, Jesus of Nazareth. If you doubt that you need to listen to Rep. Steve Cohen (D - TN) as he address the US House of Representatives. "I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences. But if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor. Thank you, Mr. Speaker." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp_2Cw4RH1c)

So now what? Do evangelicals and fundamentalists need to vote for BO, because he was a community organizer, "like Jesus"? And does the radical left have to denounce BO because he is so "Christ like?"

Oh, my!!! What a quandary!!

Yeah, Sheila Kennedy was trying to make that same argument that Obama was like Jesus and Palin was like Pilate. Give me a freakin break.

"Mr Cohen, I know Jesus and Barack Obama is no jesus."

But to follow through on the analogies, Biden will surely turn out to be Obama's Judas.

Oh, one more thing. Seems that BO is now getting stump speech advise from the scion of media integrity, Kieth Olbermann. In Olbermann's interview with BO on 9/8/08, approximately 4 minutes into the interview, Olbermann states, "[T]hat one strongly voiced word, 'Enough'...Have you thought of using on the campaign trail and in your speaking engagements more exclamation points?" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#26614824)

The two days later, BO was speaking to a group in Norfolk, VA and states, "[T]hen we go for another year, or another four years, or another eight years without addressing the issues that matter to you. Enough!"

How scary is it that he is taking campaign advise from that megalomaniac Olbermann? But I was always told that you are known by the company you keep. Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Rezko, Olbermann . . . and the beat goes on!

Rush Limbaugh has been PULVERIZING Biden yesterday and today. Today he played sound bytes from a campaign speech where he told the crowd that Hillary might have been a better VP choice than himself.
