Kelty's Day In Court

Fort Wayne GOP mayoral candidate Matt Kelty will face a 3-member Allen Co. Election Board to determine if he violated state campaign finance laws by failing to disclose loans he received from three individuals totalling nearly $160,000 to support his campaign prior to this year's primary. The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette's Benjamin Lanka has an excellent run down of who the players are, what's at issue and several possible outcomes of tomorrow's hearing.

Just as an FYI, the meeting is Tuesday, not Monday.

Why do the reporters keep writing that Bopp is a "expert" on election law? Why don't they write that he's a self proclaimed expert or that he's experieced in election law litigation? It seems the paper is setting the table for an expected outcome.

please excuse the typographical error resulting in "a" rather than "an"..."expert"
