Fortville Clerk-Treasurer Charged With Four Felonies For Sending Threatening Text Messages
The Hancock Co. Prosecutor's Office has charged Fortville's Clerk Treasurer, Marcie Stafford, with four felony counts of intimidation after she sent threatening text messages to a local family. According to the Greenfield Daily Reporter, Stafford threatened to burn down a couple's home and kill their children. Stafford's arrest occurred after she was released from an Indianapolis hospital to which she voluntarily admitted herself for psychiatric treatment. Stafford allegedly began threatening the family in question after a relative began living with them a few months ago.
