Garrison Comments On "Pence Must Go" Sign Brawl: Moving On

WIBC radio talk show host and high profile attorney Greg Garrison briefly mentioned the Indianapolis Star's report yesterday tying him to a physical altercation with a Lockerbie resident on the night of April 17, 2015 when a man matching Garrison's description and driving a vehicle registered in his name allegedly became involved in a brawl with a 43-year old financial advisor who confronted him after witnessing the man pulling up a "Pence Must Go" yard sign that dot the Lockerbie downtown residential neighborhood. According to a police report, the man driving the vehicle registered to Garrison exchanged punches with the 43-year old financial advisor before driving away. When Garrison's radio show opened this morning, Garrison very briefly referenced news reports of the event to say he appreciated the support he received from well-wishers and said he was moving on and not commenting on the matter. He noticeably didn't deny the man involved in the physical altercation was him. According to the police report, a surveillance video captured the incident. The financial advisor chose not to press charges in the case according to The Star. Garrison, a staunch defender of Israel, is broadcasting from Jersualem today.

When someone else crosses a line, Garrison exploits that mercilessly, dragging reputations thru the mud in endless demeaning criticisms. But when he crosses a line, he’s “moving on.” And they call that hypocrisy. Hypocrisy. That’s when a former prosecutor slaps down an innocent citizen in the street by beating him in the face and mouth with his fists. Hypocrisy, when a man of God, a church elder, who talks about the preeminent importance of his religion in his life believes its ok to assault an innocent man. This man he hit, this financial advisor, it wasn’t even his sign. It was a neighbor’s sign. He was just speaking up in defense of property rights. Then he gets assaulted by a darling son of Hamilton County. Second in line to the Rush Limbaugh legacy. A man who daily reminds us of his piety and law enforcement credentials. Hypocrisy. From a man broadcasting from Jerusalem, Israel, and who speaks of the teachings of Jesus every day, but who preaches hate, and who acts out in hate, but who fails to see his own shortcomings or accept responsiblility for his actions. Greg Garrison ought to march himself down to the prosecutor’s office on his own dime, and turn himself in, and then do community service, and pay restitution, and attend classes in anger management just like everybody else. But no. He’s a whining, privileged snot from Hamilton County who will move on and never think again about the man he beat into the street for no reason whatsoever. And tomorrow, he’ll be back to reminding us that he’s a man of God, a church elder, who talks to Jesus every day and sees every thing thru the lenses of his faith and his vast, important experience in the criminal justice system. Hypocrisy. Look it up in the dictionary. And ask yourself does this man walk away with a clean slate and a clean conscience, or is this a dirty little episode.

We need to press Garrison hard on what in God's name was he doing ripping out that sign! This guy needs to be put in his place! You hear me Greg!

I am a gay Conservative who is outraged by Greg Garrison's "moving on" because had it been anyone else but this crony of the Marion County GOP, Garrison would have nailed them to a concrete wall hard and fast.

I have to concur, begrudgingly, with many of the points made by Anon 11:11. An attorney breaks the law and gets away with it- where is that damned attorney association who crucified Paul Ogden for literally nothing but Ogeden's dissent from their Party line but Garrison continues to practice law... no justice in this current American System.

Not only has Freedom Indiana set back my LGBT cause by about 15 years, Greg Garrison has harmed the many believers in the Constitutional Republic people like Garrison have helped destroy.

Never a fan of the "Pence Must Go" signage, I am now a proponent of the "Garrison Must Go" crusade.

Please press charges. Do not let the bully move on and win. If you do he will never stop bullying. I am do not advocate violence but if he try's to remove my Pence Must Go sign, I will defend my property with all of my might.

Garrison is a THUG - figuratively on his show and now literally in Lockerbie.

Perhaps this financial advisor knows a good lawyer who can slap this piece of crap with a hefty civil suit, since he opted not to press charges?

Anon 11:49 here... I agree with later commenters. Please Press Charges Against Greg Garrison!

This attorney acted as judge and jury about a lawn sign that was none of his damn business. I am wondering why this financial advisor will not press charges.

While we're at it, let's press charges against the idiot who stood in the road for obstructing a motorway.

I know the idiot thought a lot of his motives, but getting the plate was all he was allowed to do. Obstructing the motorway was unsafe and illegal, and the idiot should have charges pressed against him.

Civil suit? Yes, Garrison has the much better case.

There is no right to rush to physical confrontation to defend the property of another, certainly not property valued at $10, so the resident violated tort law with that action.

By confronting Garrison, he committed assault, battery, illegal imprisonment, and a few others.

The meddling ninny has put himself in a very stupid and indefensible legal position.

I'm an avid listener of conservative talk radio and shocked that a man of his years and background would behave just the opposite of his usual demeanor on WIBC. For all the talk of political free speech, his actions prove the opposite. Yes, I suppose hypocrite is the word. Look what else he did:trespass on property, throw another's property to the side, involve himself in a needless physical altercation, malicious mischief, assault & battery on the resident who simply may have wanted a citizens arrest or detain Garrison until the Police arrive, decided to get into his car and 'nudge' forward into a standing resident who was calling the police, resulting the resident to lay on the hood, then he went around and hastily drove away. In fact, I'd call that hit & run. A moving object is generally at fault when going against a standing a stationary object. If the prosecutor of this town does nothing, then I guess personalities get off with no justice in consequences for his actions. Was he drunk? Who was the lady with him? And why did he allow her to become part of this scene? It also looks like WIBC circled the wagons by not reporting on the event even though there was a lengthy article in the Indy Star. So much for fair and balanced news. I'll never go to another rally where this hypocrite and criminal will be speaking.

WIBC is really going downhill. Next month they canned the 3 hr. Rush Limbaugh show, the anchor which held up the afternoon. That leaves on the air-hear giggle girl teeny boppers called Chicks on the Right who laugh at their own unfunny jokes, and Abdul who is one of the poorest talk show radio host I know. Apparently Garrison may be moved to a slot 11:00am. - 1:00pm. Garrison increasingly gives a cursory glance at the news headlines and adlibs for the duration of his show while mixing in previously scheduled conservative guests who simply pat each other on the back. Sickening and stale. I suspect a lot of people will turn to Freedom 95 channel and hear Hannity at 3:00pm.

Garrison is a class act. The very 1st Amendment he spews on the airwaves he fails to either obey, uphold and protect driving down the street.

Thank goodness we live in an ordered universe. All we have to do is sit back and watch. It'll all work out in the end. It always does.
