Susan Brooks Takes Pass On Senate Race

U.S. Rep. Susan Brooks (R) informed her supporters today that she would not be seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate next year. U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R) set off a flurry of discussions among potential candidates, including several members of Indiana's congressional delegation, after he announced last month he would not be seeking re-election next year. U.S. Rep. Todd Young and U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman have both expressed interest publicly in the Senate seat. Former Daniels campaign manager and Coats chief of staff Eric Holcomb is the only Republican to officially enter the race. Former U.S. Rep. Baron Hill and State Rep. Christina Hale have been mentioned as potential Democratic candidates.

It was far easier for husband David Brooks to "find" the votes for his wife Susan Brooks in the smaller pond of the 5th Congressional District that it would be to fish in the larger lake of the State. Much more manageable to manipulate precincts locally but not so much state wide, right, David?

Susan Brooks is not a Conservative at all but a RINO Karl Rovian Republican glued to the ribs of establishment crony John Boehner.
