Head Scratcher Of The Day: Man Who Shot 9 During Black Expo In 2010 Arrested In High Speed Chase

Shamus PattonFool me once, shamus on you. Fool me twice, shamus on me. Yep, the infamous Shamus Patton who shot nine people in downtown Indianapolis during the 2010 Black Expo was arrested by IMPD Tuesday night following a high speed chase with police. According to the Star, he was sentenced to eight years in prison for the shootings, less than a year for each shooting victim despite the sentencing judge's description of his crimes as "absolutely horrendous." Yet he was somehow released early into some useless community transition program. And you wonder why the streets aren't safe.

UPDATE: IMPD Chief Rick Hite tells the Star he was disturbed by Patton's early release and the lack of police notification of his early release. Hite says that Patton was not only violating the term of his work release at the time of his arrest but was also found to have in his possession a 9 mm handgun with an extended magazine with 30 rounds in it.

That guy shot 9 people in Downtown Indianapolis! Now some soft judge let him out, when he should be serving a more fitting sentence in Prison...

-I read he was out "Looking for a job." Daaahhhhh! He is a shooter...a violent criminal! Of course he was armed with a gun, out looking for his next victim.

Soft judges make hardened criminals!

BTW, we now have the smallest police force in modern history. Gun stores are almost, if not actually, sold out. Wonder why law abiding people in Indianapolis must arm themselves???? -If they call police, there aren't any to send.
