Dr. Woody Myers Raising Big Bucks

A Democrat asked me to post this information because the Democratic blogs in town won't post any information about the Democratic candidates who are competing against Andre Carson in the 7th District congressional primary in May. Dr. Woody Myers reports that his campaign has raised more than $85,000 during a recent 30-day period, including more than $36,000 over a 2-day period. In a pointed barb at Andre Carson, who has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from out-of-state special interest groups, Myers notes that all of his money has been raised from individuals. "All of the contributions have been from individual contributions, not PACs or special interests," Myers press release reads.

Rep. David Orentlicher, another challenger to Carson in the May primary, reported receipts of more than $170,000 by the end of last year. Sources tell me he will raise at least $750,000 in his bid to deny Carson the Democratic nomination. Again, the Democratic blogs and the local news media, who are all in bed with the Carson campaign, don't want you to know that Carson is facing more credible and qualified candidates who are raising some serious money for their respective races. Even if Carson makes it past the special election, there will be serious money spent by his opponents to stop his campaign and the extremist agenda he represents.

i really don't care which one it is any more i just want any of them to knock out carson. formerly was hoping it was david o but if dr. myers -- about whom i essentially know nothing -- has the wherewithal he's my man.

it's sad that it's come to this but, on principle, i refuse to go along with the notion that a vastly unqualified andre has the birthright to inherit this seat.

i live in a democrat stronghold. there is hardly a buzz about andre. it's certainly different than the frenzy when julia was on the ballot.

Isn't anybody else concerned that a guy that used to work in the area of homeland security is taking money from terrorist groups?

I thought that Carson was also a member of the Nation of Islam when I first heard of him, but I was wrong. Please read this article.

Farrakhan does not represent the majority of African American Muslims. In fact, his group have been dwindling in number since inception.

Gary, the Democratic blogs of Indy have been waiting for the Special Election to be over with before anyone starts advocating on behalf of their particular horses. I know for a fact different blogs are going to back different candidates for the Primary. You will have to wait for the Democratic Civil War to begin March 12th, I myself am undecided and waiting for the Silly Season to get underway before I pick a horse.

That bit of Fiction may well as have been written by Stephen King in lieu of Robert King, Indy Star Press Liaison for the Carson Machine. The Star once again shows it's stripes and after the Elrod victory will once again see the light at the end of the tunnel.
