LMAO: Obama Claims Campaign For President Gives Him More Executive Experience

Friends, this has got to be one of the dumbest things to ever come out of the mouth of a presidential candidate. Sen. Barack Obama explains why he thinks he has more executive experience than Gov. Sarah Palin:

“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,” Obama said.

Yes, you read that right. He believes his experience running a campaign for president is what gives him more executive experience than Gov. Palin. And this is the guy running for the top spot? And they're worried about Gov. Palin saying something stupid? Note that the ever-sexist Obama omits entirely Palin's experience as governor of Alaska in his comparison. In that role, she manages a state budget of more than $10 billion and a state payroll of 24,000 employees. There's a tad more responsibility that goes into running a state than a political campaign, don't you think?

Vetting A Veep

It seems the elites and lefties think Sen. John McCain didn't do his homework on his vice presidential pick, Gov. Sarah Palin. Let's examine the two vice presidential candidates and see which presidential candidate did the better job vetting their vice presidential candidate:

Executive Experience:

  • Biden: Zero experience.
  • Palin: served as mayor of Wasila, Alaska for 10 years and 2 years as governor of Alaska.

Military Experience:

  • Biden: Obtained five student deferments during the Vietnam War and later received a medical disability for asthma. Service on Foreign Relations Committee for decades makes him more experienced he says. Voted for the War in Iraq before he opposed it. Supported nuclear freeze movement and opposed Reagan's successful military build up to end the Cold War.
  • Palin: Serves as Commander In Chief of the Alaska National Guard.

Conflicts of Interest/Ethics:

  • Biden: Sold his home for inflated price of $1.2 million to executive for MBNA. Later got son an executive job at MBNA and was showered with tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from MBNA. Supported legislation which aided the credit card industry at the expense of consumers. Helped another son get job working as a lobbyist for corporate interests. Claimed he graduated from college with honors when he actually graduated near the bottom of his class. Forced to abandon his 1988 presidential bid after he was caught plagiarizing speeches. Falsely claimed wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver; wife actually accelerated into oncoming traffic while distracted by one of the Biden children in the car. Falsely claims father was a blue collar worker in Scranton, Pennsylvania; father actually worked as sales executive for Amoco Oil, an executive for a water sealant company and co-owned a crop dusting service. Father sent young Biden to private school. Biden's top political advisor for presidential campaign, Joe Cari, pleaded guilty to taking more than $750,000 in bribes as part of Operation Board Games investigation into corruption in Illinois state government. Same investigation resulted in multiple felony convictions of one of Obama's closest friends and political supporters, Tony Rezko.
  • Palin: Quit position on state oil and gas commission and blew the whistle on corrupt, self-serving insiders of her own party. Husband quit job at BP when she started negotiating pipeline agreement. Asked for investigation of herself after she was accused of firing the state's public safety commissioner because he wouldn't fire her ex-brother-in-law. Brother-in-law's personnel file shows history of serious personnel problems over many years, including drinking on the job, damaging a state vehicle, using a taser on his step-son and threatening to kill Palin's father if he hired a divorce attorney for his daughter. Once cited for fishing without a license.

Family:

  • Biden: Drunken daughter charged with obstruction of justice by Chicago Police Department for interfering with the arrest of her drunken friends while leaving a bar. Biden son and brother being sued in a $10 million fraud suit. Biden son took over hedge fund at urging of father who didn't want his son lobbying Congress while he was running for president, even though he had no financial management experience. Deutsche Bank and hedge fund owner claim Biden's son and brother defrauded them. Another Biden son, the Attorney General of Delaware, trumped up criminal charges against Larry Sinclair, the man who has accused Sen. Barack Obama of having sex and doing cocaine with him in the back of a limousine in 1999. AG Biden had Sinclair, a Minnesota resident, arrested and extradited to Delaware during the middle of a press conference he was holding in June at the National Press Club to discredit the charges Sinclair laid out against Obama in front of a media-packed room. AG Biden later dismisses the charges for lack of evidence.
  • Palin: Daughter gets pregnant when she's 17. Says she's keeping her baby and plans to get married. Husband gets DUI 22 years ago.

Any more questions?

New York Times Lies About Palin Being Member Of AIP

The New York Times and the deceitful blogs on the left have been falsely reporting that Gov. Sarah Palin was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, which favors secession from the United States. The fact is that she has been a registered Republican since 1982 and has never been a registered member of the AIP. The McCain campaign has provided the voter registration records which prove this, but it won't make any difference to those on the Left who are hell bent on destroying Gov. Palin by any means available. Some members of the AIP claim Palin as a supporter because she visited one of their conventions in 1994, which was held in the city of Wasilia where Palin served as a council member and mayor for fourteen years. Elected officials of one party often visit the convention of another party when it meets in their city as a courtesy, particularly the mayor of the city. The drive by hits on Palin must go on. The truth be damned. The New York Times devoted its newspaper to no fewer than three hit pieces on Palin today. Yeah, we really needed to know that her husband got a DUI twenty-two years ago when he was fresh out of high school, or that Palin once was cited for fishing without a license.

John Kass On The Smear Of Bristol Palin

The Chicago Tribune's John Kass puts out a great column today condemning the use of Gov. Sarah Palin's 17-year-old pregnant daughter to politically smear the McCain-Palin ticket. Kass opens:

Have American presidential politics become so hateful that a pregnant 17-year-old girl has to have the intimate details of her life exposed to the nation by character assassins? Ask the left-wing Internet haters, the anonymous propagandists who call themselves bloggers on the Daily Kos.

And ask Bristol Palin, who didn't deserve it, and was a victim of the rumor-mongers consumed with attacking her mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican running mate of Sen. John McCain, because the mother is a conservative and opposes abortion.

The Internet rumors claimed that Sarah's baby, Trig, born four months ago with Down syndrome, wasn't really hers but her daughter's. They plucked some photos from the Internet, photos out of sequence, to make it appear as though Gov. Palin hadn't been pregnant, proving once again that on the Internet, the casualties are credibility and civility. Reading it, you could almost hear the saliva dripping from their teeth as they typed anonymously.

Not all of them typed anonymously as Kass suggests. The Andrew Sullivans and Jen Wagners proudly put their names to their smears, but Kass hits the nail on the head in terms of his description of them. "I don't know if Komodo dragons can type, but their mouths are so full of bacteria that if they bite your leg you'll likely die," Kass writes. He reminds of us some advice he was given as a young reporter on the the children of politicians which he has always followed:

When I was just starting out as a reporter, a wise old newspaper man told me his rule: Don't ever write about their kids. Leave the kids alone, unless the child runs for office, or pulls down some fat government contract, or if the parent hauls them out as a shield before an indictment. Leave them alone, he said, because the kids don't deserve it, because they're civilians.

I took that to heart. And I know what it's like to be on the receiving end. Some of you may remember that, years ago, white political thugs under federal investigation for city affirmative-action contract fraud—who had connections to both the mob and City Hall—asked me about my children. The thugs came up to me in a restaurant and asked why they never saw my little boys playing outside my house. They let me know they were interested in my kids.

The thugs showed me their teeth, as if smiling, but their eyes weren't smiling. It was a message. It didn't work, and I wrote about it. And I'll never forget the thousands of e-mails and letters and calls that came to me from readers, many offering to stand in my driveway and watch out for my sons. My wife and I will never, ever forget your kindness.
Yes, the media double standard. It's easy to blame the hateful, "stop John McCain and the Republicans at any cost" folks for this ordeal, but we shouldn't forget where these rumors got their start. The Daily Kos. This has been Obama's go-to blog from the beginning. He even attended a little convention they held. When issues cropped up about his birth certificate, the Daily Kos obtained the first copy and posted it to deflect rumors. When document experts claimed the birth certificate was forged, a Daily Kos blogger came forward to accept responsibility. Unlike the Obama birth certificate story, however, the mainstream media refused to even check it out. With Palin's daughter, they were all over the story. The news media was set to run with stories about Palin's daughter's pregnancy whether she voluntarily acknowledged it or not.

Flashback to Vice President Al Gore. His teen-age son was booted out of the prestigious St. Albans prep school for possession of pot. Laying aside the issue of how a young man surrounded by secret service agents and living in the Vice President's residence at the Naval Observatory acquired the illegal substance, not a single mainstream media news outlet reported on it, although the news was common knowledge in D.C. circles. Years later, as his father was running for president, the younger Gore was busted for possession of pot as an adult. Unfortunately, with the mainstream media today, the rule to leave the kids alone only applies to Democrats. Republican kids are always fair game. We learned every time Jenna and Barbara Bush had a drink. And now we learn about which of Sarah Palin's daughters is pregnant.

Anatomy Of An Obama Smear From One Who Would Know

Long-time Obama critic and author of "The Man Behind The Mask", Andy Martin, says to make no mistake that Obama is behind the Palin baby smear stories despite his protestations to reporters today to the contrary. Martin tells it like it is:

Make no mistake: The Obama smear machine is real. His campaign manger David Axelrod is one of the greatest smear artists in the history of modern American politics.

Obama smears anyone and everyone who crosses his path. Smears are an essential part of the Obama campaign. Several weeks ago, Axelrod floated the first smears about John McCain. Look for more of the same.

Me? I have been smeared by Obama for over a year.

One of Obama's favorite tactics is to use the mad billionaire George Soros as his "front." Soros in turns farms out his malignant propaganda operation to tax-exempt organizations that sling the ----. Obama has tried to smear me using disputes in a quarter-century old lawsuit. For the record, both as a public interest advocate and private litigant I have been involved in a lot of lawsuits, and I have won landmark public interest cases, as well as using litigation to expose and embarrass corrupt judges, see Andymartin.com for details. Obama has never apologized to me for his dirty tricks operation against me.

None of Obama's smears against me have any anything remotely to do with the facts I have exposed about his sordid history in the sewers of Chicago politics.

Did the anti-Palin "baby" smears originate with Obama? Indeed they did. Obama is lying through his teeth when he denies responsibility for attacking Governor Palin's teenaged daughter and, through her, her mother.

This time Obama's smears appears to have backfired. And he knows it.

Anonymous smears that cannot be sourced to the Obama campaign have, sadly, become an integral part of his political operation. That's the way they do things in Chicago. They are a standard part of any David Axelrod operation. Obama also uses left-wing toadies in the media, such as Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, Alan Colmes of Fox news and Chris Hayes of the Nation, to crank up the noise level of the smear machine.

Obama is also a master of disinformation. He produced an anonymous "genius" that claimed to have "researched" the origins of "Muslim smears" against him. The Washington Post's "investigation" pointed at me, but could find no evidence I had done anything wrong. I had not. Nevertheless, the Post saw fit to publish a nearly full-page story on the "investigation" by Danielle Allen although she too was using tax-exempt facilities to conduct her "research."

After I directed pointed questions at Allen, she disappeared and has not been heard from since. The Washington Post has not apologized to me for being duped by Obama. I continue to write the truth, and carefully fact-check, my claims about Obama.

Palin Discloses 17-Year-Old Daughter's Pregnancy

Gov. Sarah Palin, reeling from unseemly rumors from pro-Obama bloggers that her daughter and not she had given birth to her four-month-old baby son, Trig, in April, has disclosed that her 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnant and plans to marry the father. According to the Reuters report, Palin disclosed the daughter's pregnancy to McCain when he discussed the vice presidential offer with her, but he did not think it should disqualify her from consideration. Reuters reports:

"We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us," the Palins' statement said.

"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support," the Palins said.

"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates," the statement concluded . . .

McCain officials said the news of the daughter's pregnancy was being released to rebut what one aide called "mud-slinging and lies" circulating on liberal blog sites.

According to these rumors, Sarah Palin had faked a pregnancy and pretended to have given birth in May to her fifth child, a son named Trig who has Down syndrome. The rumor was that Trig was actually Bristol Palin's child and that Sarah Palin was the grandmother.

A senior McCain campaign official said the McCain camp was appalled that these rumors had not only been spread around liberal blog sites and partisan Democrats, but also were the subject of heightened interest from mainstream news media.

"The despicable rumors that have been spread by liberal blogs, some even with Barack Obama's name in them, is a real anchor around the Democratic ticket, pulling them down in the mud in a way that certainly juxtaposes themselves against their 'campaign of change,'" a senior aide said.

As I've said before, the supporters of Barack Obama will stop at nothing to win this race. They've gone way too far this time. This little stunt will boomerang big time against their candidate.

Carson Accuses Christian Minister Of Extortion

Buried in a story in today's Star discussing U.S. Rep. Andre Carson's efforts to increase the political influence of Muslims in America is a claim by Carson that an Indianapolis Christian minister sought to extort money from him during his special election race earlier this year against State Rep. Jon Elrod to succeed his grandmother in Congress. The Star's Robert King details the allegation by Carson:

Carson shared one of the challenges he faced as a Muslim candidate: 10 Christian pastors in Indianapolis said they would oppose him because of his faith. One pastor, Carson said, made it clear that he would make trouble for Carson unless he was paid off. Carson didn't pay and didn't name the pastor. Other pastors, he said, embraced his candidacy.

So the career law enforcement officer faced an extortion attempt by a local Christian minister and did not report the crime to the appropriate authorities? Or was Carson simply all too familiar with the common practice of some local politicians to give so-called "walking around money" to black ministers to get out the vote for them? It's a very serious charge as alleged by Carson. Because he didn't report it to law enforcement, I have serious doubts about whether he's telling the whole story. It looks like Carson may have gotten a bit of Joe Biden talking disease while basking in his new-found rising Muslim star status in the Democratic Party at last week's convention in Denver.

It is worth noting that King touches on just how much Carson is relying on the Muslim community to raise money for his campaign, a topic which seemed off limits to the local news media during the special election race and primary race this year. King writes of a recent Muslim fundraiser Carson held:

This is a new day today," Carson said. "This is a day to be proud as Americans and as Muslims." The crowd, heavy with professionals and Ivy League grads, then opened their checkbooks for Carson's campaign to the tune of more than $10,000 . . .

"More than $200,000 of the $1.3 million Carson has raised this year has come from Muslims," King writes. "Carson has been welcomed at private Muslim fundraisers in California, New York and Florida, to name a few," he adds.

It is quite a contrast in how Carson so boldly embraces his Muslim religion while Sen. Barack Obama runs as fast and far from his Muslim heritage as possible. Obama denies he was ever a Muslim despite the fact that he was enrolled in an Indonesian school as a Muslim and was required to attend the mosque on the school's campus daily for prayer. Obama's father, grandfather and step-father were all Muslims. Obama's father was buried at a traditional Muslim funeral. A New York Times reporter interviewing Obama a couple of years ago recounted how Obama could recite a Muslim prayer in perfect Arabic dialect. Similarly, Obama sought to distance himself from controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, while Carson welcomed the controversial leader to his grandmother's funeral, where he eulogized the late U.S. Rep. Julia Carson.

Nobama Bounce Means Palin Must Be Destroyed

Polls taken post-convention now confirm that Sen. Barack Obama left his much ballyhooed convention in Denver without a bounce. The race is a dead heat where it was at the start of the Democratic National Convention last week. Polls taken during the convention suggested Obama was getting a bounce, but his lead quickly evaporated upon Sen. John McCain's surprise announcement on Friday that he had chosen Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate, a move that immediately reinvigorated McCain's base and produced record, single day contributions to his campaign of over $4 million.

Obama's campaign and supporters immediately jumped on Palin's experience, but they didn't stop there. The below-the-belt hits on Palin over the past few days by the Obama crowd have been unprecedented. They're knocking her religious beliefs, her hairdo, her dress, her looks and her former job as a TV sports announcer. And those are the least offensive hits on her. Josh Marshall at Talking Points Memo assures us that a so-called Troopergate scandal will sink Palin. Apparently Palin was a bad girl because she wanted a state trooper fired who had once been married to her sister and who had been disciplined multiple times for misconduct, including drinking on the job, using a taser on his step-son and threatening to kill Palin's father. Contrast that with Bill Clinton's Troopergate scandal, which involved Clinton's use of state troopers to procure women for his sexual pleasure. John Aravosis at America Blog immediately constructed a time line he says proves that Palin must have been at least 3-4 weeks pregnant with her first child when she got married. Daily Kos topped that one with an incredible claim that Palin's teen-age daughter and not her gave birth to baby Trig, who was born in April with Down Syndrome. The blog produced a photo it claimed was proof that Palin's daughter had a muffin in the oven. The only problem was that the photo was taken in 2006.

So you can see how the Obama folks are going to play ball over the next 60 days, and it's not softball. This tells me the Obama campaign's study of polling data over the past fews weeks has convinced them the tide has turned in a big way against Obama. Doubts about Obama are growing by the day. Obama's choice of Joe Biden has proven to be one big flop. To put it bluntly, Biden has been YouTubed by his own stupid mouth running. This has placed Obama and the Democrats in a place of desperation. The campaign has no other choice it figures than to personally destroy Sen. McCain and his new running mate, Gov. Palin. But will it be enough to counter the onslaught Obama is facing?

There remains significant unanswered questions about Obama's eligibility to run for president. Indonesian school records indisputably represent that Obama's last name had been changed from Obama to Soetoro, his step-father's last name, and that he was enrolled in school there as an Indonesian citizen. This suggests Obama was indeed adopted by his step-father and became a citizen of Indonesia. Although the mainstream media refuses to address this issue, it raises serious doubts about whether Obama meets the natural born citizen constitutional requirement for being president. Through the work of citizen bloggers, the citizenship question is gaining currency among the voting public. And there also remains a distinct possibility that numerous lawsuits may be filed across the nation over the next few weeks challenging Obama's eligibility. Making matters worse for Obama are new disclosures about his close relationship with domestic terrorist William Ayers, which threatens to unhinge his campaign completely. Censorship efforts by the Obama campaign are underway to block disclosure of this information.

Back home in Chicago, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has reportedly been meeting with convicted felon and close Obama friend, Tony Rezko, who is sitting in a jail cell awaiting what could be a lengthy federal prison sentence. A recent Sun-Times story suggests this could mean Rezko is now cooperating with federal investigators. Rezko is scheduled to be sentenced just days before this November's election. Obama used Rezko to purchase his million-dollar mansion on Chicago's South Side, a deal some would argue put at least $300,000 in Obama's pocket tax free courtesy of the convicted felon. Former Joe Biden political adviser, Joe Cari, has already pleaded guilty to accepting payoffs for influence peddling in the administration of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and is cooperating with federal investigators. Obama must be having a lot of sleepless nights these days fearing what may come of Fitzgerald's investigation.

Fasten your seat belts. This presidential campaign season is going to be one wild ride over the next 60 days.
