Ballard Hands Out Double-Digit Pay Raises To Top Staffers

Eyebrows are being raised in some corners at double-digit pay raises Mayor Greg Ballard recently handed out to top staffers in his office at a time when the City is facing a major budget deficit and city agencies are being asked to cut their budgets to the bone. Will the mainstream media cover it? Or will they ignore it like all of the other corruption taking place in Indianapolis city government?

Where is this information at? Did Ballard put a gag on the Star publishing city salary information. No information can be found in Data Central since Ballard became mayor - even the State information is nearly four years old.

Transparency?

I wondered the same, CK. Why go to that much trouble to set up all those databases and then stop updating the information in them? Probably another budget cut. They must be planning on having most of their employees work from home after they sell their office building downtown to save money.

They also haven't posted the ethics disclosures for counselors for the past several years. They rarely update the contract database.
