Brooks' First TV Ad Accuses Opponents Of Being "Career Politicians"

Former U.S. Attorney Susan Brooks has launched her first TV ad in her bid to win Indiana's 5th congressional district seat being vacated by retiring U.S. Rep. Dan Burton. "I'm running against some good guys, but they're career politicians . . . " is how her first ad begins. I suspect every single one of her Republican primary opponents would take issue with her characterization of them as career politicians.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Same old soup,just warmed over.

If this is the kind of TV commercials we can expect, its going to be a very long and boring election.

That commercial directed towards McIntosh

Dr. John McGoff is running for that position. He is a noted emergency room doctor and a General officer in the Air Guard! -Not what anyone can call a "career politician!"

For accusing her opponents of being "career politicians" (I really only think that can apply to one of her opponents), she is by far racking up the most endorsements from establishment Republican figures mostly based in Marion and Hamilton counties. TOJO, Kyle Walker, Lt Gov Skillman, and a bunch of current, retired, and former (IE lost re-election) City-County Councilors. The only major establishment endorsement she didn't get is Burton's, and I don't know if Mayor Seybold is really touting it all that much.

Indy4u2c,

It's hard for me to forgive Dr. McGoff after his role in shoving the new Wishard down our throats with an extremely biased referendum question.

Paul:

The VOTERS approved the Wishard referendum with 99.2% in favor. Sorry, but you CANNOT say that those results are "shoved down throats." It would more accurately be described as "The will of the people!" The hospital was needed, the facts presented, and the voters agreed almost unanimously! BTW that vote has nothing to do with the congressional election, Paul.

Dr. McGoff is very highly respected in the field of emeregency medicine. As a General officer, he is also a genuine leader. He will be an excellent congressman!!!

And just how many political offices has Susan Brooks either held or ran for?

I believe this is her first run for office, although she's been on the public dole her entire adult life except for a brief stop over at Ice Miller before she was named U.S. Attorney.
