"The omnibus debate is not merely a battle over last year's unfinished business, but the first indication of how we will shape our fiscal future," Bayh wrote in an op-ed in Wednesday's Wall Street Journal.
The spending bill contains over 8,000 earmarks--pet projects of members of Congress. It will provide federal budget agencies with an 8% increase over their previous budgets on average according to the AP report. This is on top of the trillion-dollar stimulus plan Democrats just passed and which Bayh supported. Your party already permanently reshaped our fiscal future with that massive spending bill, Sen. Bayh.

This is one of the reasons why I wouldn't be upset if Bayh lost. I am a strong Dem but he has no philosophy other than just get Evan reelected. Maybe someone told him that McCain won the election.
Birch Jr. voted for the porkulous package that, with interest was over 1.2 TRILLION dollars and offered no stimulous to the economy, it only stimulates leftist groups and causes. Now he's against something that costs a third of the spending he was for? He's such an empty suit, stuffed shirt, whatever analogy you want to use. I regret having ever supported him.
Here are a few slogans:
Anybody But Bayh '10
Get Rid Of him in '10
Bye, Bye Bayh '10
And for the MTV youth:
Say no to Harry reid's Be-otch in 10
I vote for Bye Bye Bayh in 2010
I suspect Bayh is back peddling due to the health care reform issues that Obama and the left leaning Democrats have brought to the table. Can you say Lilly! I suspect Evan collects a few campaign contribuations from the Lilly folk.
