Daniels Names Anti-Abortion Extremist National GOP Committeeman

By way of Matt Tully's blog, we learn that businessman Fred Klipsch has stepped down as Indiana's National Republican committeeman. According to Tully, Gov. Daniels has recommended Terre Haute attorney and anti-abortion extremist Jim Bopp to take his place. As Tully describes the position, "According to party officials, this is a very important position, as committeemen and committeewomen vote on party platforms and attend meetings." The state committee is expected to rubber-stamp Daniels' recommendation of Bopp. Thanks Gov. Daniels for adding another wing-nut to the national leadership of the Republican Party.
