Another Night Another Shooting In Naptown

Indianapolis recorded its 34rd homicide of the year last night when a 28-year old man was gunned down in a Hardees parking lot on the city's northwest side. WTHR reports that an employee of Hardees located in the 7200 block of Woodland Drive attempted to administer CPR on James Chatman before emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the man died before they could arrive.

-has anyone else noticed that since Frank Straub came here, murder seems to have a lower priority on being solved?

Perhaps if we had a Police Chief who placed TOP PRIORITY on murder and provided adequate resources the rate would be reduced. You can't argue with the facts that violent crime is increasing since Ballard brought in Frank Straub!

The damage is done. Can we recover???

I doubt if any of the think tanks or meetings about violent crime in Indianapolis will discuss neo-liberalism as a cause. Certainly, back when Indianapolis was ruled by conservatives, it was a safe city.

Wasn't the conservative Mayor Barton, RIP, the last mayor that kept down the murder rate. All the ones since have been neoliberals, debt producers.
