Why Is Mitch Daniels Against The Little Guy?

Gov. Mitch Daniels is very keen on boasting of his administration's success in luring new businesses to Indiana with all kinds of incentives you and I foot the bill for with our hard-earned tax dollars. Most of those benefits go to large out-of-state corporations. What really galls me, though, is the disdain he and his administration have for the average guys who've lived and worked here most of their lives. Last year, his administration held up tax refunds so his budget could appear better than it really was. It's a nice little gimmick sleazy government budget-makers like to use at the expense of the little guy. At the same time, his administration rewarded tax scofflaws with an amnesty program--another gimmick for temporarily boosting state revenues. This year, his Department of Revenue is sending out thousands of notices to small businesses, even those without a payroll, demanding that they start filing withholding tax returns on a monthly basis. Accountants figure it's just another gimmick by the administration to speed up tax collections. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another sign of an out-of-touch administration, which doesn't give a damn about the little guy.

I got one of those notices last week. So I get to fill out a tax return every month with all zeroes for what purpose? It's a bunch of bullshit.

The little guy, ceomitch definitely has 'short person syndrome', his "I know better than you" attitude really sucks. The changes he has made so far, withoout much or any oversight, will haunt us for years to come, long after he is forgotten. He has filled our prisons with mentally ill folks who he ran out of State mental institutions when he closed them, he has sold
State properties (just look at the vehicle inventories and what the vehicles sold for, and TO WHOM they were sold), now he wants to build a highway in central IN, taking property from citizens in order to give it to a private company for profit.

How tall was Napoleon?

I think you're right on about Mitch, I'm a conservative, but he's really screwed stuff up.
