Iraq's Second Largest City Falls Into The Hands Of Al Qaeda Terrorists

There's more evidence that the trillions of American tax dollars blown on the Iraqi War benefitted nobody other than the military/industrial complex and the oil interests who sponsored the war. Al Qaeda terrorists have seized control of Mosul, Iraq's second largest city, as American-trained security forces abandoned their posts and fled the city. Thousands are feared dead as hundreds of thousands more people are desperately fleeing the region into the Kurdish-controlled region of the country. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled Syria next door into Turkey and tens of thousands of civilians have been killed in a civil war there as America arms Al Qaeda insurgents in an effort to overthrow Syria's President Assad. Does anyone ask why the very terrorists we supposedly went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan to eliminate seem more powerful than ever following our wars there?

To paraphrase the line "America has always been at war with Arabia."

White House spokesman Josh Earnest - “Our shipments have included delivery of 300 Hellfire missiles, millions of rounds of small arms fire, thousands of rounds of tank ammunition, helicopter-fired rockets, machine guns, grenades, sniper rifles, M16 and M4 rifles to the Iraqi security agencies,” said Earnest.

So the Wall Street-Security-Military-Industrial Complex continues to profit.

As a Combat Veteran of Vietnam 1970-71 (Draftee Type), I told anyone who would listen, the invasion of Iraq by GWB, would end the same way as Vietnam. That is any puppet government we installed would not survive.

Our Foreign Policy is based upon our access to natural resources, military bases and the denial of these to countries that are not under the control of the Empire.

Our Foreign Policy is also based upon the breath taking stupidity of the American Public who believe in American Exceptionalism - just a more up to date term for Manifest Destiny or Herrenvolk.

Never in my lifetime, which includes the reign of Richard Nixon, has it been important for patriotic Americans to give vibrant voice to their concerns. Never in my lifetime, Nixon's days included, has giving such voice come with a more costly pricetag. America, America, where are you going? Hard to say who you are these days ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPYFWnzjIy0

Washington destroyed the sovereign state of Iraq over a lie and yet the Bush family thrives. Only fools trust the District of Criminals or the mass media.

The Republican primary voters did get it right when they threw out Lugar and now Cantor.
