Guess Who's On The List Of Delinquent Taxpayers?

Marion Co. Treasurer Mike Rodman's office provides the latest online information about individual property taxpayers, noting the amount the taxpayer currently owes along with any delinquent amounts. Here's a few folks Advance Indiana found on the list of delinquencies whose names you might recognize (the amount of the delinquency is noted in parenthesis following the property address location):

  • Wilson Allen, Self-appointed spokesman for Center Township Democrats, 1146 Tecumseh Street ($140.36)
  • Patrice Abduallah, Democratic City-County Councilor, District 15, 937 N. Sheffield Ave. ($535.21)
  • Rozelle Boyd, Democratic City-County Councilor, At-Large, 938 N. Alabama Street ($2,069.38)
  • Billie J. Breaux, Democratic Marion County Auditor, 5155 N. Arlington Ave. (27.68), 5155 N. Arlington Ave. ($511.54)
  • Lonnell Conley, Democratic City-County Councilor, At-Large, Majority Leader, 6223 E. 56th St. ($1,433.44)
  • Mark Anthony "Tony" Duncan, Democratic Center Township Constable, 340 Harvard Pl. ($1,367.54)
  • Carl Drummer, Democratic Center Township Trustee, 3563 N. Central Ave. ($1,273.40)

Now, the purpose of this exercise was not to single out Democrats only. I checked the listings of all major Republican officeholders in Indianapolis, including legislators, CCC members and county officeholders and didn't pull up any Republicans who were delinquent. If I have missed one, please bring it to my attention. I think the most surprising name on the list is Wilson Allen, particularly since he's badgered former Center Township Small Claims Court judge candidate Darla Williams endlessly about an unpaid property tax bill. Does the word "hypocrisy" come to mind? I would note that it is possible that persons on this list have since taken care of their delinquency and the Marion Co. Treasurer's website hasn't updated their online database. They'll need to take that up with Treasurer Mike Rodman's office.

That "delinquency" was paid promptly this year. At $140, it had simply slipped my mind and I paid a 10% late fee penalty. I did feel kinda goofy about that $140. I did go ahead and pay my original 2007 spring amount weeks ago.

Those same records you use show you still owe $1,179.94. Take it up with the Treasurer!

Gary R. Welsh said...

Sorry to disappoint you, Wilson, but the amount of delinquency listed for me is $0. That $1,179.94 listed is the amount of the new tax bill due. Take it up with the Treasurer. I don't know how your own bill could have slipped your mind when you took the time to check out Darla's tax bill and beat her up over the issue.

PRICELESS! THANKS FOR SHARING, GARY!

Wilson46201 said...

No Gary, according to the Treasurers screen concerning your $1,179.94.

Spring Total Amount to Pay: $1,179.94

Now it's indeed possible that you, like me, have already paid your Spring Tax Bill but the Treasurer's Office doesnt indicate any possible payments you may have made, just like it doesn't indicate the complete payments I have made!

Wilson46201 said...

Ah for the good old days! Years ago when I worked for the Center Township Assessors Office, in our spare time, we'd look up tax bills for Democratic politicos and call and remind them a few days before the deadline to pay their current tax bills. It was amazing how many appreciated those phone calls!

Gary R. Welsh said...

Sorry, again, to diappoint you Wilson. That's the same way the report shows for all current taxpayers. By your logic of reading the reports, every single taxpayer in Marion Co. is delinquent. My spring bill is automatically paid by my mortgage company out of funds I escrow. It has been paid. The extent you go to lie is revealed so abundantly right here. Sure you didn't tear down those campaign signs of Julia's opponent, but I have an eyewitness who saw you doing it, don't I?

Gary R. Welsh said...

Too bad nobody in Marion Co. Assessor Greg Bowes office cared enough for you to call you up, eh?

Wilson46201 said...

Nah - those were the good old days twenty years ago. I doubt if any party does it nowadays for anybody...

Wilson46201 said...

Gary: concerning those alleged signs: at best you have somebody who heard from somebody else who heard from somebody else...

indyernie said...

Wilson you cheapskate. $140. BUCKS? You not only chastised Darla you tried to discredit me by leaking the tax nightmare I encountered. By the way Wilson, for the tax charges against me to be true I would have had to make an extra 1.5 Million that year. That’s right big boy, a million and a half more than I actually made. I'm not the millionaire that the state employees thought. But if you’re a little short I'll loan you the $140.00.

Wilson46201 said...

Thanks, Ernie! I appreciate your kind gesture but I dealt with that piddly $140 already! The Treasurers screens just dont reflect that yet just like they dont reflect your payments on the taxes you were billed for this spring!

Anonymous said...

Wilson said, "it had simply slipped my mind and I paid a 10% late fee penalty." A little like what someone else said, "I ain't got no nickel in that dime."

Wilson46201 said...

Hey! My 66th birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks!

indyernie said...

"The Treasurers screens just dont reflect that yet just like they dont reflect your payments on the taxes you were billed for this spring!"

Wilson don't go there. I ran my name and addresses, my property taxes are paid on time. I owe $0.00. If yours were paid when due your name wouldn't be listed.

Anonymous said...

oh what a tangled web, wilson. hhhmmm.

indyernie said...

I didn't know that Gary was a comedian. This is funny. The list needs to be sent to the CCC for an explanation.

Great job Gary.

Gary R. Welsh said...

The spring installment was actually just due August 10, Wilson. I believe that was yesterday if I'm not mistaken.

Wilson46201 said...

The Treasurers screens currently show what was billed (after the DLGF intervention) for the Spring tax bills due yesterday.

It does not indicate whether paid or not. They are using a billed amount on the screen, not the paid amount.

Anonymous said...

Shameful Wilson, simply shameful. After you put everyone else under a microscope you aren't so perfect after all. Pitiful.

Wilson46201 said...

For that matter, since I paid the original higher 2007 billed amount, I've actually got a credit now on my parcel account with the Treasurer's Office.

Wilson did you ever-go delinquent?

Fairly simple question.

Easy to answer, Yes or No?

Even a liberal mind full of mush can answer the question.

Yes or No?

Wilson46201 said...

If you are too ignorant to check easily available public records, you wouldn't understand my simple yes or no answer...

Yes or No? Come on Wilson, answer the question. Yes or No?

It's OK, Wilson! It's OK...
EVERYONE has had at least one deliquent bill in their past.
I was late with a car payment once. It was OK. I paid it and went on with life.

Happy birthday (a little early), but what does turning 66 have to do with it? My neighbor is well into her 80's and still sharp as a tack.
Is it that hard to admit you are in error?
Good thing AI isn't pulling up criminal hostories, huh?

Flipper: I dont drive so I'll pass on your kind offer to drive the getaway car! As long as you stay in public space to photograph, you'll be perfectly legal: sidewalk or alley is for the public to use, including photographing houses and yards...

About pulling up criminal histories: for the average citizen, that's difficult. An interesting exception under Indiana law is for political candidates ... GaryJ and I have privacy rights but Bart is fair game to check if he has a criminal history.

Wilson and his democrat (I pay no-tax) party has made it's way to TDW.

See what happens when you mess with the wrong folks Wilson. Your democrat friends who were “outted” can thank you for inspiring Gary. If he hadn't been looking for dirt on you he wouldn’t have found them.
I bet several will be glad to see you at the next Democrat Party meeting.

I was arrested once in 1970 in Washington DC for antiwar protesting clogging the street outside John Mitchell's office. Spent 24 hours in Precinct 3 jail! The arrests were so egregiously illegal that the Supreme Court itself ordered all the records expunged...

Aside from that one, nothing ever anywhere.

Anonymous said...

Damn Wilson, sorry about your luck with a DUI.
A few years ago our favorite democrat council person Very Brown wrecked a city vehicle while drinking. in fact, he ran into a tree at military park while leaving a function at the athletic club. because of his political status. the investigation was cancelled. he now is a council member and also a promoted chief with IFD. it is all about who you know!

And to match that. 2 years ago he was in charge of the Indianapolis Fire department drug and alcohol abuse program. a private agency would send him 17 names a month to call for drug and alcohol testing and the firefighter would have one hour to go to methodist occupational l health for a test since they were white. but! wait! Vern would call any black firefighters at the first of the month and tell them they would be tested the last few days of the month so they had time to clean up.

I'd like to thank AI for posting these links. As a result I just found out that the 2006 rate I paid should have actually been 2006 + some additional fees. It it wasn't for this post I'd be delinquent.

Thank-you!

Wilson46201 said...

Since I don't drive, I've never had a traffic ticket, much less a DUI.

Wilson, you might want to let Julia's god son, Lacy II, know that his son, Lacy III, is also delinquent on his property taxes. He was behind $1130.06 for 5968 Medora Drive. Things not going so well at 300 East?

Anonymous said...

Wilson,

Sorry I caused such an uproar with my postings last night regarding your tax "problem". -sarcasm-

You said in an earlier post, "Ah for the good old days! Years ago when I worked for the Center Township Assessors Office, in our spare time, we'd look up tax bills for Democratic politicos and call and remind them a few days before the deadline to pay their current tax bills."
So you worked in the Center Township Trustee's office? If so, about what time span? around 1996,1997,1998?

Anonymous said...

So Wilson, like Julia, is not paying his taxes for The Machine!

Gary, I remember Wilson saying he didn't mind the tax increase...I guess not, he ignored it!!!!!!

What a hypocrite! But then, he's a Democrat!

Actions speak louder than words.

I was the Center Township Clerk for the Trustee from 1991 to 2004.

Corrupt Carl Drummer doesn't pay his taxes either....hmmmm, here is a Tax & Spend Democrat who, as Center Twp Trustee, has a patronage payroll of over 100 crony's and he isn't even paying his fair share of taxes.

Corrupt Carl should have to fire a few cronys off the taxpayers dole to make up for not paying his own taxes....but then, he is part of The Machine.

I'm sure, like Wilson, he'll rationalize "I'm elderly, everyone does it, I'm a Democrat, I'm a liar....."

Gary, how's Tony Duncan, (D) Center Twp Constable (only Marion County in all of Indiana has a constable)doing with his taxes on that ONE-HALF MILLION DOLLAR ESTATE he owns? -or did he get a tax abatement for building a mansion in Center Twp from The Machine?

Anonymous said...

Just FYI....

Got another email from a city/county councilor- the VP. She says that she has people looking into Patrice Abduallah's residency issue. What exactly "looking into" means, I am not sure.

If the democrats were smart, at the next meeting, they should question Mr. Abduallah about this. They need to feed one of there own to the wolves, in order to take heat off of Monroe and Bart.
The walls must feel like they are closing in around Mr. Abduallah. Will he stay and fight the bitter fight? Or will he fall on the sword for the greater good of the party? Stay tuned.

There are several maddening names on this list...the one that surprises me most is Billie Breaux's. She's a gentle lady, and usually fairly competent.

No surprise: King Ro. Garnish his or his wife's city wages for the tax. Grrrrrrrrr.

Big surprise: Monroe Gray is not on the list. He owes a lot of people a lot of money, but evidently, he avoided the politician's cardinal rule of paying taxes on time.

If there are extraordinary reasons someone doesn't pay their taxes on time, let's hear it. I suppose there could be an acceptable reason for a single tardy act. I'll tend to beleive Wilson's explanation, given the amount was small.

The real pearl in the oyster, would be to check historical payment records, and see if the King Ros of the world are late all the time.

He drives a real nice Escalade. Nice priorities, Conleys.

These folks need to set a good example, seing as how they just raised our taxes.

You know the mayor's people are fuming about this.

Prediction: the at large councillor who will finish at the bottom of the Dem ticket: King Ro. He was in the primary, and neighborhood organizations are itching to send him a message about the job he demanded for his incompetent wife.

For the second time this week, an excellent AI post.

Anonymous said...

Since King Ro's wife granted the variance so that Monroe Gray can get his bar inside of taxpayer owned (but Corrupt Carl Drummer, Center Twp Trustee) building...is anyone surprised that The Machine is holding true to form?

Corrupt Carl Drummer (D) Center Twp Trustee doesn't pay taxes...King Ro Conley doesn't pay taxes....Julia doesn't pay taxes (and Corrupt Carl Drummer had a taxPAYER owned building named after the non-taxPAYER).
