Varvel On Daniels' Silence

State House observers have been speculating about the reason for Gov. Daniels' recent silence when it comes to any matters playing out in the legislature. Star cartoonist Gary Varvel gives us his own take on it today. Varvel's cartoon carries this commentary:
Governor Mitch Daniels has been very quiet lately. In playing the political game you have to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. It appears that the Governor has learned that voicing an opinion while Pat Bauer his holding the gavel can be costly. So look for the Governor to hold his tongue until the Legislature is done.

Thanks for posting this cartoon - Varvel is usually such a ridiculous asshole that I dont bother to view his reactionary doodlings...

The Star is keeping him on way past his "expire date" (which was sometime in 1956)

Varvel could have drawn Bart or Frank's face and had the tag say "Indianapolis Crime".
