Cummins Inc. and Eli Lilly Company are the only two Indiana companies to earn a perfect score on their support of equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees according to the Human Rights Campaign. HRC's Corporate Equality Index rates corporate America's treatment of GLBT employees, and Cummins and Eli Lilly were among 140 companies which received a perfect score, demonstrating their commitment to equality.
Cummins' employment policy protects its employees from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The company has offered domestic partner benefits for its employees since 2000, in addition to a host of other benefits it offers on the same terms to same-sex partners as it offers to opposite-sex partners. Eli Lilly offers comparable protections and benefits for its GLBT employees.
