Indiana's Congressional Delegation Trending Against Syrian War Authorization

Members of Indiana's congressional delegation who have made their views known are trending against supporting congressional authorization for President Barack Obama to launch a new war in Syria based on dubious claims that the Assad regime used chemical weapons on Syrian civilians, a red line President Barack Obama drew in the sand for justifying military intervention. Despite substantial evidence that the chemical weapons attack was actually the work of the American-backed rebels, which include forces fighting on behalf of the al Qaeda terrorist organization, the Obama administration clings to a fable reminiscent of the Bush administration's bogus claims that Iraq's Saddam Hussein possessed nuclear capabilities as a reason for launching a war in that country following 9/11. History now informs us that the Bush administration fabricated that evidence as part the New World Order's larger agenda of toppling Middle Eastern countries, including Libya, Syria and Iran.

To date, Rep. Luke Messer (R), who is controlled by the military industrial complex, is the only member of Indiana's congressional delegation to declare his support for the war. He moved his family to Washington after his election to Congress in 2012 where his wife immediately took up employment as a lobbyist. Two Republican members, Rep. Larry Buschon and Jackie Walorski, have announced their intention of voting against the resolution, while Reps. Todd Rokita (R), Marlin Stutzman (R) and Todd Young (R) have all said they are leaning against supporting the resolution. Indiana's two Democratic members, Andre Carson and Pete Visclosky, remain undecided. Rep. Susan Brooks, who is trying to build a reputation as the Homeland Security guru in Congress prepping for domestic terror events, claims to be undecided, but like Messer, she is pretty much controlled by the military industrial complex. Carson is under intense pressure by the Congressional Black Caucus, which is more concerned about President Obama's reputation than the harm of starting another war in the Middle East. The Obama administration was sending the President's national security adviser, Susan Rice, to brief members of the Black Caucus. Rice, of course, is the former UN Ambassador who deliberately lied to the American people about the cause of the attack on the Benghazi diplomatic post in Libya, which we now know was being used as a CIA-run arms-running operation to arm the rebels seeking to topple the Assad regime in Syria.

Ironically, Buschon conducted a fundraising luncheon yesterday in Evansville featuring House Speaker John Boehner, the out-of-touch Republican Speaker who has rolled over repeatedly for Obama and early on declared his support for launching a war in Syria. Buschon could not have chosen a worse place to conduct his fundraiser. It was held at American Patriot Group's headquarters in Evansville, a company owned by CIA operative Steven Chancellor, who is a very close friend of the CIA-owned Bush family. The American Patriot Group, which makes meals ready-to-eat (MREs) for the U.S. military and the CIA, depends on the permanent war industry for its existence. Demonstrators outside the fundraiser feared Buschon's arm would be twisted by Chancellor and Boehner to support the resolution. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the firm is making MREs for the American-backed rebels fighting in Syria, which are armed, trained and funded by the CIA in Turkey.

Indiana's two senators, Dan Coats (R) and Joe Donnelly (D), have not officially declared their intentions, although both are pretty much bought and paid for by the military industrial complex. Coats made millions after leaving the Senate the first time while working as a Washington lobbyist. Coats lobbied on behalf of defense contractors which were enriched by the war in Iraq. Coats previously served on the Armed Services Committee and now serves on the Intelligence Committee. Donnelly, who was deeply in debt and struggled to pay his tax bills before becoming a member of Congress, serves on the Armed Services Committee. Both Coats and Donnelly have expressed their unabashed support for the unconstitutional spying by the NSA on all Americans.

  1. Not so remarkable how quickly the incident at Benghazi was swept under the rug, once the fact that the CIA had a gun running operation there was revealed - Fast and Furious Middle East Franchise.

    I have E-Mailed Brooks, and the Senators stating my opposition to a strike.

    I told them an attack on Syria would be an Act of War. I reminded them: "The Congress shall have Power To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

    To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water."

    I pointed out our authors of the Constitution had a good reason to control the President. During the era our Constitution was framed, Emperors, Kings and Princes could engage in wars on their own authority.

    I further pointed out the USA has been engaged in more Wars and military interventions than any other country in the past 100 years.

  2. Since the election of Barack Obama as President, the votes and actions of the majority of the Black Congressional Caucus, the Progressive Congressional Caucus, and the Jewish Congressional Caucus have been so disappointing, so against America's interests. If any of the Populist Congressional Caucus vote as Obama and the Senate and House leadership are asking, to attack Syria, they most certainly would be not acting as true populists.

    Washington's foreign policy establishment routinely operates against the best interests of our state and nation. Very few Hoosiers realize that the Yinon Plan is actually the operational context under which stratagem functions.

    As Gutle Schnaper, Mayer Amschel Rothschhilds wife, once stated:

    "If my sons did not want wars, there would be none."

    Gary, I think you with millions others such as I, have concluded, that Syria is the backdoor to war with Iran. As Buchanan recently cited. the neocons realize (and I think Hope} that if they can get us to attack Syria, there is a real possibility that there will be retaliatory attack on us Americans or on Israel.

  3. I invite all to study the latest report by Bill Van Auken, "Pentagon Plans Massive Attack on Syria" and "The Treachery of Barack Obama" by drkresearch. As there written about one still of Obama on camera telling viewers about his war plans:

    "His whites under his eyes clearly showing. that always corrupt, always arrogant Obama is seething to draw more blood and to commit greater and greater treachery upon the land."
