Ben Quayle Joins Law Firm

Former U.S. Rep. Ben Quayle (R-AZ), son of former Vice-President Dan Quayle, has decided to join a Detroit-based law firm, Clark Hill PLC, working in its Phoenix and Washington, D.C. offices as a senior director of government and public affairs. Quayle tells the Arizona Republic that he has no immediate plans to seek public office again.“I’m not ruling out running, but I’m not going to be running in the near future,” Quayle said.  Quayle lost a hard-fought primary race last year with U.S. Rep. David Schweikert after the two were thrown into the same congressional district following redistricting. Quayle told The Republic that he had been advising the developer of PhoenixMart, a large real estate and manufacturing project in Casa Grande, Arizona, following his departure from Congress in January.

  1. Just posted on WRTV Hmm does he know anything? INDIANAPOLIS - A former Marion County deputy prosecutor is scheduled to formally plead guilty to accepting a bribe after agreeing to tell federal prosecutors everything he knows about public corruption in Indianapolis.

A plea hearing for 53-year-old David Wyser was set for Tuesday afternoon before U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker.

Wyser could face up to 10 years in prison if Barker accepts the May 13 agreement. Prosecutors recommend his sentence be reduced due to his cooperation, but Barker is not bound by the recommendation.

Wyser was the top deputy prosecutor under former Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi. Prosecutors allege he accepted a $2,500 bribe in 2009 to reduce the 70-year sentence of a prisoner convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The money allegedly came from the prisoner's father
