Another Legislator Leaves Mid-Term

Sen. Jeff Drozda (R-Westfield) was just re-elected in the last general election in 2006, but as we've seen time and time again with Indiana legislators, he's leaving his job mid-term, thereby allowing a small group of precinct committeepersons to meet and choose a senator to fill the more than 32 months remaining in his term. His job, working in government relations for a health care firm, is being transferred to South Carolina according to the Star's Bill Rutthart.

  1. One less nut in the fruitcake. Unfortunately the same people that backed him in the first place will probably find a Walker (the flogger) or someone similar.

  2. Yippee!! Drozda is the worst of the worst of wingnuts. Good effin' riddance.

  3. Delph won that primary originally, as a wingnut...there are ample party regular who would support a more-moderate candidate.

Or at least I hope so.

His job sounds like a conflict of interset to me.. Glad he's gone.

Supposedly Rep. Buck is angling for the job. Anyone who signed Eric Miller's dance card (petition to hear SJR-7) is a bad choice in my humble opinion.

"Governmental relations" is the nice term for a lobbyist who is prostituting himself/herself
to pretend that for one client.
