A Commonplace Lie

Steph Mineart at a Commonplace Book thinks that I'm behind IndyUndercover. Of course, she saw me today at the blogger's forum and the professional thing to do would have been to ask me to my face if I was a part of the IndyUndercover blog site. Instead, she posts an outright false assertion stating that Ike Randolph and I have teamed up to do this blogsite. Anyone who knows either of us would know we wouldn't be teaming up together on any project, let alone a political blogsite. I have to say this is the absolute lowest thing any blogger could do to another blogger, but having observed her style for the past year, I have to say I'm not the least bit surprised.

UPDATE: Click here for IndyUndercover's reaction to Steph's comical post.

  1. Relax and reread Steph's article! She accuses the Dickerson AnonyMice of using IndyUndercover and AdvanceIndiana to spread the most scurrilous lies and libels. Both GOP blogs accept the most far-out comments - to be fair, most of these are from that one homophobe and loser Jocelyn Tandy. Other AnonyMice chime in for the chorus!

Steph does not say Gary is behind IndyUndercover but accuses the Marion County GOP as pushing that site to further Ike's political aspirations...

AdvanceIndiana, like IndyU, is just a carrier of the diseased ravings from the Dickerson camp ... Steph overlooked that Black GOP website "Indiana Minority Report" as another prolific site for negative Dickerson campaigning. It's another Tandy hangout too.

  2. She writes: "He's feeding libelous allegations and smear tactics to the IndyUndercover site (which is run not by cops or sheriff's officers, but by the Republican Party -- current investigation points toward Ike Randolph as the responsible party) and to Gary Welsh of Advance Indiana."

    That's a pretty direct allegation.

No more than this site is carrying the diseased ravings of one Wilson Allen.

    Then who is it?

  5. The "he" doing the feeding refers to E.D., not to you AI ! She should have indeed differentiated you more clearly from IndyU ... its just that both of you are being used by the Dickerson folk for the most relentlessly negative campaigning seen for years in Indianapolis !

I'm not sure exactly what she's trying to say, but she as much accused you of being behind it before on her blog.

  8. Steph's over-long parenthetical remark after mentioning IndyU is causing the confusion. Dont let paranoia get the better of you, AI !

Steph accusing Gary of working with Ike on this makes about as much sense as Wilson and Sir Hailstone working on something together. Oil and water don't mix.

The far left is really giving the far right a run for their money on conspiracy theories these days. Steph is starting to let those little angels sitting on her arm whispering to her take over her life.

Wilson-mice is at it again. Accusing people of things himself that are not true. Your rantings are showing just how desperate you are becoming. Very sad.

Gary, I think you are too busy with your own site to have time to devote the time to a second successful blog site. Both are excellent vehicles for getting the truth out, which is why it makes those who are guilty so angry.

Keep up your good work - we know the truth.

  13. Wilson if the truth wasn't comming out, you and Steph wouldn't be so bent out of shape all the time.
In a couple more weeks you both can find another hobby. Carson will be gone.

I wouldnt worry too much, nor put too much creedence into Steph Mineart and her writings. Stephi s all about political speech and freedom, but not when it comes from within a job organization. Apparently her idea of Freedom of Speech is what Steph deems it to be, and damns anyone who attempts to express the same Right. I took her to task a few weeks back about this dichotomy and she deflected, diverted, and finally ended the thread with a "I'm right and everyone else is wrong". Pathetic, to say the least.

Kind of like Adolph Hitler and Joseph Goebbels..if one repeats drivel and nonsense at length, consistently and so stridently, SOME weak-willed people may believe that said drivel is true. Kind of like Wilson46201..who will be unemployed in 17 days.

  16. Advance Indiana:

I stumbled on to your blogsite in August by accident to find Wilson slandering my name all over the place. Blaming me and making false accusations relating to various comments on these blogs by anonymous bloggers.

How dare Wilson of all people, accuse someone of libel! The truth is, Wilson is being paid to slander and to harass any African American who does not support the Ghetto Mafia Queen Julia Carson. This had to be part of their strategy after Dickerson won the Primary Election. They targeted anyone who they thought would be supporting him.

When I have the time, I am going to review comments before August.
He invades individual’s privacy with his cheap camera posing as a photographer. If there is film in the camera, the pictures he takes without the consent of the person had better not show up in public.

For the record, I don't hangout anywhere. Evidently, Julia's bad habits have rubbed off on him. He attacks people and slanders their names in public forums without their knowledge.

You can review your blogs before August, and you will not find any comments from me. I must have been a target for this group before August. Wilson continues to make references to the GOP, as if I don't have a mind of my own.

Mudslinging is all the members of that group know how to do. They don't know how to win an election without lying and cheating. The accusations do not have to be true, only believable.
Miss "ghost employee of the year" is an insecure homosexual white male and is starved for attention and gets it from Julia. He will get dumped after he has served her purpose. Speaking of losers, Wilson is the bigger one for allowing people to use him. Get a life other than the one you are living.

My blogsite will be up and running next week Wilson.

Steph is no more objective than Eric Miller. However, the comparison to Hitler and Goebbels was a little over the top...

Steph was part of a cabal that posted some pretty wicked, and completely untrue, stuff about Carson's primary opponent. It had a devastating effect, so it worked. Hear it, refuse to check it out, write it, and see what happens.

Since that time, I've seen her post a few times on other sites, but I don't read hers. Sometimes I agree with her, sometimes I don't.

I never, ever got any indication that AI was linked with Ike Randolph for anything. Ike's a maniptulative fool. I doubt anyone can manipulate Gary.

And, whenever I've written criticisms of AI, they have been posted, word-for-word, unedited.

To me, that's integrity. But that's just me.

This bullshit tends to get a little dicey three weeks either side of an election.

I predict that after this election, the crap may last a ltitle longer, because it's only 60 days or so until GOP and Dem municipal slating, and Julia's influence over the Dem process will definitely be reduced. Which will account for more threats and intimidation to save reduced political turf.

    Count on it.

Of course I'm not accusing you of being part of Indy Undercover -- which is pretty plain if you actually read what I wrote. I could rephrase that sentence to read differently, but it's correct as I wrote it.

But you've never been that big on actually reading what I write without putting your own spin on it, and I'm still pissed at you for that, Gary, after you tried to re-write one of my posts for me on the "liquids on a plane" event. That's the reason I didn't talk to you at the blogger forum. I don't have anything to say someone who doesn't really listen.

  20. Once again, Tandy is even calling me "Miss" while calling me an insecure homosexual. Please delete her entire comment where she once again repeats libelous criminal charges.

She's a vicious little homophobe and a well-known liar ! and now she's GOP all the way...

  21. Speaking of the Democratic primary, did folk notice in the Star that Devin Craig, a Kris Kiser staffer, was just arrested on multiple felony fraud counts for phony credit card usage at pizza places. He should demand a jury trial - as skinny as he is, massive pizza-eating looks unlikely!

  22. fwiw, photos taken of people in public places may freely be used except for what's called "commercial speech" such as business advertising. Tandy tries to intimidate people with made-up laws which reveal her ignorance or malevolence...

"I'm still pissed at you for that, Gary, after you tried to re-write one of my posts for me on the "liquids on a plane" event." - Steph

Are we in grade school? I have never read a real fact on Steph's blog. Grow-up, I suspect ED will do much better at moving a moderate agenda forward in his coming term as Carson does wasting her vote with the far-left.

  26. Steph wrote previously about the alleged terror plot to blow up jet airplanes crossing the Atlantic from London to the U.S.:

"Seriously, I'm predicting this is all bullshit whipped up by the U.K. on behalf of their buddy Bush because Leiberman lost the primary. (Let me clarify that -- I don't think they're constructing a terrorist plot out of whole cloth to scare us. I think they're making a mountain out of a molehill, and that we're not really in any danger.)" She adds, "Sure enough, there's the Tail Wagging the Dog. And people are reporting that Bob Orr mentioned on The Early Show this morning that the Bush knew about this plot for days. If so, why wait until now to change the security regulations?" "Why not secure the airlines several days ago to protect passengers?" "Because Lieberman didn't lose several days ago," Mineart concludes.

Steph later added this comment to her original post in response to my post questioning the conspiratorial thinking of liberal bloggers with respect to all things related to Bush:

And here's a big funny: Gary Welsh says "But our friends on the left are not in the least bit grateful" regarding the intelligence work the UK (sorry, no real US involvement there) did in "thwarting the plot." What exactly am I supposed to be grateful for? No one's trying to blow me up. I can see where people in London who might get on the target planes would be grateful, but what does that have to do with me? As far as I can see, the only person keeping me safe these days is me. On the other hand, the government is doing a fine job of inconveniencing me, which I'm not inclined to be grateful for, unlike Gary."

Steph's words on the terror plot, like her post on IndyUndercover, speak for themselves.

  27. the nature of parenthetical expressions is that, when done correctly (as steph's is), they can be removed entirely from a sentence without affecting the sentence's grammaticality. let's try it.

    sentence 1:
[Dickerson]'s feeding libelous allegations and smear tactics to the IndyUndercover site and to Gary Welsh of Advance Indiana.

    sentence 2:
([IndyU] is run not by cops or sheriff's officers, but by the Republican Party -- current investigation points toward Ike Randolph as the responsible party)

is that more clear? she's obviously saying that you...and separately also indyu...are doing dickerson's dirty work. the fact that she suspects randolph is behind indyu is an unrelated aside.

you have every right to be angry about what steph wrote, but this misreading of her post is ridiculous. i can't tell if you're intentionally misreading it or what, but it absolutely does not say that she thinks you are a part of indyu. i'm not even sure where you're getting that, as it says nothing of the sort.

  28. More disturbing than Steph and Gary's disagreements is the speculation on who is involved with Indyundercover. I'd be shocked if it was GOP backed because it's just so badly done. With it's AOL-style "LOL"s, exclamation points, wink-wink posts, and actual lack of any substantive content, it's not a blog I'd want anyone I knew associated with, regardless of political affiliation.

Agree with Gary or not, AI is still seems to be one of the most credible and well researched blogs in Indiana politics. Do I agree with him 100% of the time? No. But I feel much more confident here that Gary might actually have a little background on what he's talking about. Blogs are, by their nature, opinion. And your worth and credibility is measured in how these opinions are presented.

IndyUndercover, with it's public encouragement that appears to ask law enfocement officers step up their efforts to catch Kennedy supporters breaking the law gives police officers -- and bloggers -- a bad name. Frankly, if I was a LEO, I'd be a bit worried about its unprofessionalism and blatent partisianship.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous1:03 PM GMT-5

Steph's sentence is poorly written; I also initially assumed that she was naming Gary as Indyu. Which seemed so preposterous based on their writing style along that I carefully re-read the sentence and figured out what she was trying to say.

I don't think that the GOP is behind Indyu - as has been pointed out, aside from a couple of interesting posts at the beginning, the blog is devoid of content, unprofessional, and several of the commenters are racist and homophobic. I hope those commenters aren't LEO's.

Steph is not as credible as AI, under any objective review.

Blogs have a tremendous responsibility to step up and fill some news voids.

In the past six months, I've seen it go both ways--terribly irresponsible, and very responsible.

    All for free.

    Unlike the conventional media.

    So...

if the posts can remain like many (not all!) on AI and TDW, among others, maybe we have a viable alternative media source.

    We could use it.
