Cruz And Kasich Collude To Deny Trump, Kasich Dropping Out Of Indiana Primary

The media has been all abuzz about how Indiana's presidential primary election is relevant this year, a rare occasion. In reality, the election has been rigged by political insiders to make the choices made by Indiana primary voters next week irrelevant to the outcome of the election. Even though Indiana Republican leaders had already rigged the delegate election prior to any votes being cast, the campaigns of Ted Cruz and John Kasich have united in an effort to block even a symbolic victory for Donald Trump in Indiana in the beauty contest.

In spite of the Republican Party establishment's trashing of Trump with the full support of the established media in the state, a trio of polls all showed Trump on top and likely heading to a win next Tuesday. As Advance Indiana has already made clear, even winning the popular vote in Indiana is meaningless for Trump because the vast majority of the delegates chosen in backroom deals by state party leaders oppose his nomination. The only candidate with a clear advantage among those chosen in that corrupt process is John Kasich, but his campaign is now suspending his efforts here and urging his supporters to vote for Cruz. Theoretically, those delegates are bound to the candidate who wins the statewide vote or the individual congressional races, but there have already been rumblings that won't happen if doing so would give Trump a first ballot win.

As part of this Faustian bargain, the Cruz campaign has agreed to drop efforts in New Mexico and Oregon, giving Kasich a shot at defeating Trump in those two upcoming races in a head-to-head match-up. The end game is to ensure by any means possible that Trump is unable to secure enough votes to win on a first ballot at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July. Polls show Trump with a commanding lead in Pennsylvania, but its delegate selection process ensures that he will lose the delegate race regardless of the preference of the state's Republican primary voters. Trump is also the clear favorite in other big state remaining, including California and New Jersey, but similar efforts are being made to undermine victories in those and other upcoming states where Trump is likely to win.

What should now be clear for all to see is that the Republican Party has endorsed the election of Hillary Clinton for president. The Republican Party's money man, billionaire Charles Koch, signaled that over the weekend in an interview where he stated that he would prefer Hillary Clinton over any of the Republican presidential candidates. The Republican Party isn't interested in choosing any candidate who offers a clear choice this year. Both parties' nominating processes have been entirely rigged, making our popular presidential election process as meaningless as it is in the countries our nation is fond of criticizing for lacking truly freely elections. Your votes are meaningless. The Republic is dead. And while the nation awakens today with a collective yawn, President Barack Obama is sending more American troops into Syria because he's not satisfied the bloodbath already caused in that country by our nation and its allies has resulted in enough death and destruction.

They are not combining forces against Trump because Trump cannot defeat Hillary Clinton. They are doing it because he can defeat her.

  2. They don't support Cruz. They don't want any Republican candidate to win. They want Hillary Clinton to win. Wake up.

6:53. What I meant was that Trump CAN defeat Clinton. Cruz cannot. I guess I could have worded it better.

Who is this "they" you keep talking about? "They don't want any Republican to win. "They want Hillary Clinton to win." Because I don't know any Republican that wants Hillary Clinton to win, and that includes the most political Republicans I know, some of whom are well up in the party apparatus. I think you're way out on a ledge with these statements.

And as for Koch, I've read what he has to say, and there's nothing much new. He just doesn't like any of the remaining candidates. He was very supportive earlier in the game, but as his candidates lost he lost interest. I know he said he didn't think the remaining candidates were the equals of Hillary Clinton when it came to foreign policy and being President, but that doesn't indicate a conspiracy; he just doesn't want to give any more money to candidates he thinks are second rate.

I don't like the delegate situation either, but its not new, just playing out in a new race. The delegates are bound on the first vote by national Republican party rules, and that is a fairly recent change intended to fix just the problem we're in. The fact that it hasn't completely fixed it just means it was incremental. Further fixes may be necessary. The delegates can install whatever rules they want to vote on at the convention.

Stop saying the Republic is dead and that the vote doesn't matter. You know that isn't true. In some countries disinformation is a crime.

Kasich's name is still going to be on the Indiana ballot so this alliance from hell may not make any difference. With Brainerd fully behind Kasich I would like to see a poll taken in Hamilton County to see where the voters stand there.

I wonder how Cruz came to select Huber's as a rallying place. Southern Indiana "establishment" Republicans??? Wonder if there will be a private meeting held in some obscure location in the area...

In response to Koch's weird statement that he might be able to support Hillary in the general election if she "changed", Hillary tweeted"

"not interested in endorsements from people who deny climate science and make it harder for people to vote."

So listen up, strange conspiracy theorists who believe the Republican party is orchestrating Hillary's eventual Presidency; nobody needs or wants your creepy Republican "support". Who wants anything from the party of hate. Just go back to your churches. You've done enough harm. Vote for anybody you want. But don't claim your horrible Republican candidates or their discrimination loving donors put Hillary in the White House. We're making it happen despite your hateful ways.

You used to be the party that stood for small government. But that hasn't been true for a long, long time. Now you're the party that won't serve gays, that wants to deport all the Mexicans. What a bunch of assholes you've become.

I agree that the braintrust (and I use that term loosely) doesn't want either Cruz or Trump, but they don't want HIllary either. They want their own candidate and they're trying to figure out how to get there. It goes like this. 1. Use Cruz and Kasich to destroy Trump. That's job one. Once he's destroyed, they will destroy Cruz but not so that Hillary wins, but rather so they can insert their own puppet. I'm convinced that is the plan. Their puppet has to be so popular as to make people forget about Trump (mostly) because he's the big tent candidate. They can't pull it off. They don't know it yet. They still think they can, but they can't. The original commenter was right. The party apparatus KNOWS that Trump beats Hillary and that scares them. Given that, they would choose Hillary but we're not there yet. They still think they can pull this off with their preferred candidate, aka, Bush Light.

  10. The Koch's probably have made a Risk Assessment of Hillary and determined that behind all her rhetoric she is bought and paid for by Wall Street. The Democratic Party of the New Deal, Fair Deal and Great Frontiers is long gone. The Democratic Party Establishment is firmly in the hands of the Corporate Clinton's.
Those of us that are Sanders supporters marvel at how often Hillary has been forced to the Left. She side steps to the Left, spouts some a few canned choreographed platitudes and the Hillary Bots eat it up. The Hillary Bots fail look at the totality of the Clinton's and all their duplicity.
The Establishment by no means wants either Trump or Sanders to emerge with a victory. Both Trump and Sanders represent a clear and present danger to their control.

  11. I could argue that those who want Hillary are those pushing Donald Trump to be the nominee. He consistently polls as the worst GOP candidate against Hillary. The "Establishment" is against Trump, not because Trump is anti-Establishment (he isn't...his delegate guru over the weekend talked about the Trump people working with Senator Majority Leader Mitch McConnell) it's because they think Trump will sink their chances in the Fall and take down the House and Senate with him.

Besides waking up on the wrong side of history, the Koch's might now realize that it is a waste of hundreds of millions of dollars spent on those who can not ever
successfully manage the country. Years of 'trickle down', court decisions, and John Bircher thinking have spurred their involvement in the political process. Would it not be a tribute for them to reverse course and become more socially conscious?

Anom 822: That's what Hillary says openly, but in typical Clinton fashion she'll welcome both Koch money and their support. You can't trust the establishment.

Well Ogden, I would say that the Republican Senate and those Pubs in the House have already done an admirable job of taking themselves down. You may not have been paying attention to what policies that they voted for but the voters backing Trump sure as hell have. That old GOP strategy of taking campaign money from the rich to get votes from guys like me is over. If you do not think Trump can beat Hillary then you are far more delusional than I give you credit for. Damn your general election polls, they mean nothing in April. Trump will rip the Clintons a new asshole in spite of the fact that so called "conservatives" like yourself have done everything they can to get her elected.
Go ahead and rig the convention, just give people like me an excuse to support the formation of new party to replace the corrupt worthless shell that you support.
Mark my words, Trump will take Indiana by a margin of 10 points or more.

  15. Gary, this just makes me want to dig in and vote for Trump. Cruz and Kasich are pathetically desperate evidenced by their running on the "not Trump" platform
