Pastor Davey Blackburn's First Interview On GMA Following Wife's Tragic Murder

Pastor Davey Blackburn appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" for an interview conducted by George Stephanopolous to discuss the tragic murder of his wife Amanda during a home invasion on the city's northwest side a week ago this morning. Blackburn says he's baffled by his wife's slaying. "Amanda didn't have an enemy in the world," he said. He talked at length about the faith she put in Jesus Christ and how she poured her life out to help others. On the investigation, he said police have provided him the same details they've shared with the public. More than 2,000 people showed up at a memorial service in Amanda's honor this past Sunday, including Gov. Mike Pence. That was the second funeral service Pence attended this past weekend. He also spoke at Amos Brown's memorial service on Saturday.

Wow! Everyone reacts to grief in different ways but the husband lacks any emotion for a man who lost his wife to such a brutal act of violence. Very odd, indeed. It is as if he is enjoying the attention to himself.

Is it possible that Amanda was murdered before Davey Blackburn left for the gym?

Scott Peterson also gave television interviews before he was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife Laci.

  7. I believe the gunshot the neighbor heard occurred while he was at the gym.

Gary, witnesses are notoriously wrong about such things, as you know... Gunshots don't sound anything like they do on TV, esp. if it's a smaller caliber. Is the neighbor a gun owner? If not, I don't believe him. He thinks he heard something because he's freaked out. Do we know the caliber? Semi auto or revolver? 3 shots total as I understand it? One hit? Close range? To the head? I call BS. Nobody bad guy shoots three rounds. They empty the gun, which means at least five rounds, unless the first was a shot to the head at close range and the other two were for effect. I'm guessing that this was an execution, not a burglary gone wrong. That's far more likely than the hoodie wearing black man done robbed me story. And why was Pastor Pretty Boy cleared in 5 min? Sounds like somebody wants him to slip up...

  9. I agree. I feel like they just "cleared" him so they can wait for him to screw up. My guess is that they're digging through phone records and church/personal finances.

I saw him again today on Channel 13 and got a really creepy vib. Something really seems off with him. Seems too insincere. Even his emotional comments seemed acted.

  11. Prowling hoodlums do roam Indianapolis neighborhoods, and break in after they see a residemt leave the house. They also try to intimidate walkers, joggers, and skate boarders. This is very common in my neck of the woods.

Reading all these comments make me sick. Davey and Amanda were obviously madly in love and faithfully serving Christ, giving their hearts to the people of Indianapolis. They have found the killers and have DNA evidence that Taylor and Watson have murdered her. Davey has the peace that only God gives and undoubtedly knows that he will see his wife again.
