State Rep. Justin Moed Busted Sexting Sydney Leathers

If you thought former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) would be the last politician to see his political career shaken over sexting allegations involving Indiana's own Sydney Leathers, the Democratic political activist turned porn star, think again. She's now ensnared State Rep. Justin Moed (D-Indianapolis), and the gossip website The Dirty has the NSFW pictures to prove it. Leathers claims the 31-year old single (but engaged) lawmaker sent a number of sexually graphic text messages to her in which he refers to himself as her "Bitch Boy." Moed also supposedly sent gifts from Amazon to Leathers, including a collar with a leash. Leathers claims Moed wanted to be forced to wear a French maid outfit and clean house while she degraded him. He also allegedly wanted to be tied up and left in a closet to watch her having sex with her boyfriend.

Local news reports in Indiana are now picking up on what the New York Post's Page Six first reported last week that Leathers was about to out another lawmaker from the Midwest.
This time she’s exposed the kinky fetishes of a Democratic state legislator in the Midwest who responded as “Bitch Boy” when she advertised for a submissive she could “financially dominate.”
Leathers, who lives in Evansville, Ind., said Bitch Boy was careful to never give her his name — he sent money to her through a prepaid PayPal card — but didn’t realize his name was on the shoes and lingerie he sent her through Amazon.
“I’m a little speechless,” Leathers told me. “I Googled him and found out he’s a lawmaker. Apparently only politicians can pick up on my pheromones.”
Leathers has never met Bitch Boy, or even talked on the phone. Their entire relationship has been via text messaging. In honor of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” here is a sample: Bitch Boy: “I am your property to do with as you wish, Mistress.” Sydney: “Yes, because you are weak and pathetic and useless.”
“This guy is into some really freaky stuff,” Leathers said. “He liked the idea of buying me a strap-on to use on him. He wanted to be forced to wear a French maid outfit and clean my house while I degraded him. He wanted to be tied up and left in a closet to watch me have sex with my boyfriend.”
Leathers, who describes herself as “about as liberal as you can get,” said, “I’m really sad. I was really hoping it was a Republican.” And she hopes he doesn’t lose his job. “Is he displaying poor judgment by sexting me of all people? Obviously. But should sexual situations define politicians? They are human, after all.” Some apparently are more human than others.

UPDATE: Rep. Moed releases a statement through Bose Public Affairs Group according to WISH-TV confirming what we already knew as he went into hiding from State House reporters today. Why is he paying a high-paid lobbying firm at the center of no good over at the State House to speak for him? And who was going to pay for the hotel room he promised to find for Leathers and her boyfriend at the Conrad Hilton?
“I am truly sorry I have hurt the ones I love most with my poor judgment. I am committed to rebuilding trust with my family and my community. This is a private matter and I ask for it to be treated as such. I apologize to my constituents and to everyone I have let down.”
It's interesting that Moed is engaged to Rachel Ranz, a pharmacist at Roudebush VA Hospital, which was already in the news nationally this week over the controversial e-mails a manager, Robin Paul, sent to co-workers mocking suicidal veterans.

Nobody should be surprised by this, least of all the State House media, since the topic of this year's Gridiron Dinner was anything related to sex. Rep. Moed sure gives new meaning to being a Minority Whip.

Eh, who cares? He's not hurting anyone or misusing public funds. If that's how he likes to get his freak on, that's his business.

If America weren't such a hellhole and allowed people to purchase sex services more openly, he could get what he wants locally, and he'd be satisfied, and nobody would be the wiser.

This really is a personal matter for Rep. Moed and his fiancee. I've known both for many years. I've been a long fan of this blog but dragging her(Ranz) into this as well as her employer is irrelevant and on par with the worst of the tabloids. Moed has worked incredibly hard for his district surrounding Garfield Park and private transgressions should be left as such.

Oh puleeze. Train left the station, horse is out of the barn, yadda-yadda.
I dated a single unattached Representative (US Congress) and he could do whatever he wanted because he was single & unattached. These guys who get caught really do want to be punished!

  5. Rep. Moed posted that photo of him and Rachel on his biographical page on the General Assembly's website. The only one who owes her an apology is Rep. Moed.

What will Rachel think when she reads the text message where he talked about hooking up with a guy several times for casual sex?

It figures the Bose law firm is running to his rescue. Justin is one of Joe Hogsett's BFFs.

I'm sure Ersal would have been willing to pick up the hotel tab since Justin is pimping his soccer stadium deal for him--as long as he could watch.

I agree with leaving the fiancee out of it. She's very pretty, by the way. I'd rather snuggle up to her than Leathers, any time.

Poor Rachel probably feels horribly embarrassed.

He's young. He'll calm down. He might be going through some worries about getting married.

What does Rachel see in that seedy dude....he is a switch hitter, too. Move on Rachel.

I guess he is qualified to be in government. Sleezy enough.

Isn't the guy Justin likes hooking up with out and about the State House hallways?

I've had the opportunity to observe the State House whores who roam the hallways when the legislature is in session every year for a considerable period of time. This guy is going to have more women throwing themselves at him now more than ever. Those stories about Jud McMillin's kinky ways turned him into a rock star with that particular crowd.

Moed sent Leathers a photo of a black guy he referred to as a BBC that he used to hook up with regularly. Said his name was Omar and he moved to Toronto a couple of years ago.

  15. Gary, you are correct that Rep. Moed posted the Moed/fiancee photo on the General Assembly website. Nevertheless, it would show a great degree of charity (& by that i mean the Christian virtue of charity) to excise the fiancee's name & pic from the blog. She may be totally unaware of Rep. Moed's darker side, may have had her wedding hopes dashed, & may be feeling a great sense of shame; there's no reason for AI to add to all that, however unintentionally.

AI reports the facts and those who don't like the facts screech and howl that AI should not report all the facts as they happen to be.

If Moed carried an "R" after his name instead of "D" many of these same commenters offering their forgiving and defensive remarks for Moed's behaviors would no doubt be casting him in a completely different, and unfavorable light.

I don't feel sorry for this guy. He started whoring himself out to lobbyists the minute he stepped foot in the State House.

Moed "is truly sorry he has hurt the ones he loves". How is anyone to believe that? At this point in time, he hasn't had time to stop and reflect on how hurtful his actions are to those who loved and trusted him. Right now, Moed is only sorry his sordid, "private" actions have been made public. If they hadn't been, he would be happily continuing to betray a woman who appears to have been ready to commit her life to him with vows of fidelity and love. I don't want to hear what a decent , caring person this man is. If he was decent and caring, he would have let his fiancé know he wasn't ready to settle down in a committed relationship before involving himself in such intimate activities with a stranger. The pain he inflicted on someone he supposedly loved was not accomplished through some impulsive, rash one time event. It was done with much forethought, plans of action and to fulfill purely selfish desires. Maybe one day Moed, will take stock of himself and be truly sorry for his actions, but it isn't today.

Says volumes about the politicians we elect. If you are an elected official, you have got to be out of your friggin mind to do something like this. May be, just maybe he should resign!

Ordinarily I wouldn't care what someone did to fuel his/her personal, adult fantasies; however, I DO care when the person's paycheck comes from the taxpayers. It's not the kink factor per se that's bothersome, but rather, the impulsive unbridled mindset that makes this man a loose cannon, a liability, and a prisoner of his own passion, making him a security risk. If a man will send nude pics of himself to an unknown sex worker, send money, send sex toys, then he'd send secure information to anyone. He's a public employee, a public servant, and yes, it does place him in a category where he lives in a fishbowl. He knew that when he ran for public office.

Yes, Rachel should run like the wind.

Rachel needs to run away from BitchBoy and run fast! It's got to be tough knowing your fiance wants to wear French Maid uniforms and be docked by others.

If she stays with him, she's absolutely stupid. He needs to resign.

  25. He raved about his endorsements while winning his present perch. I really like the part where he endorses his own "passion." Yep, the fellow is passionate, that is beyond debate ... http://justinmoed.com/news/entry/moed-wins-unprecedented-support-from-indiana-education-and-children-s-groups
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!
“Putting our kids' education first is among the key reasons I'm running for State Representative,” Moed commented. “I’m passionate about quality education and the need to provide our kids with the foundation to successfully compete for the jobs of the future. I look forward to being the kind of legislator who brings everyone to the table to develop the best policies for our education system. "

  26. That Ms Leathers is strutting around her conquests quite openly isn't she? But in all honesty, if it weren't for the fact that the guy was a politician, we would have to agree that wanting to get shoved in a storage room might not be all that bad right?
