Gov. Mike Pence is very proud of his record as Indiana governor and doesn't mind sharing that fact with the rest of the nation. Pence touted his record of accomplishment to a Politico reporter during a National Governor's Association meeting in Washington this weekend. "We have strong reserves," he said. "Unemployment’s down. When I became governor, it was 8 percent. It’s 5.8 percent today. We led the nation in manufacturing jobs created last year. So there are 49 governors who wish they could be me."
Pence also kept the door open to running for president in 2016, although he noted Indiana law will not allow him to run for re-election as governor and president at the same time. He won't be making a decision on his future until after the legislative session is over. "Our legislative session ends on April 29, and I’m completely focused on passing another honestly balanced budget, a balanced budget amendment and a robust education agenda," said Pence. He also doesn't seem worried that anything he's done as governor will be used against him if he decides to run for president. "I don't really think of it that way," he said. "I'm an A-B, B-C, C-D guy."
Mike Pence is doing a GREAT job as Governor!
ReplyDeletePence sniffs diesel fumes to shape
ReplyDeletehis delusional views.
Here we have a "Republican" adopting the untethered baseline of statism, in its sliding or unreliable measure of unemployment; ignoring entire categories of working age people for the benefit of promoting the state over people. Who, wants that?
ReplyDeletePence proves again that he is completely delusional that politicians or government create jobs and create wealth. He seems to be of the opinion that whatever we Hoosiers have government provided. News flash: Government can only "give" people what it first takes (or more truthfully, steals) from people. Mike Pence firmly places himself inside that self-absorbed Political Ruling Class that foolishly believes "they" make "our" lives better. Nothing could be further from the truth.
ReplyDeleteI realized far too late that Republicans are indistinguishable from Democrats. I fully regret voting once for Pence and it is my intention to not repeat my error. All these idiotic, useless Asian junket produce no real lasting effect on our Hoosier state other than to puff up politicians' ego, provide free trips and business contacts for their administration hangers-on, and give the appearance that the politician is "doing something".
That "The Great One" Mark Levin actually mentions Mike Pence as being a Conservative, let alone having the ability to rouse actual Conservatives across America to vote for him to sit in the White House, is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteMike Pence, a man who is rarely photographed smiling, like most every Democrat and Republican politician I've met, could not procure in the private sector the financially rewarding employment he today enjoys as a career politician.
Completely focused on the legislative session, except this pointless junket in Sodom-on-the-Potomac from which I am speaking.
ReplyDeleteIt's official Pence is on something! Not only is he delusional but he is also a traitor to traditional Republican principles! As a life-long republican I hope he gets his a$! Kicked in 2016 for his betrayal of conservatives and his infantile behavior in his dealings with Glenda Ritz!
ReplyDeletePence and his team have had their eyes on the White House when campaigning for governor. His current title is nothing more than a resume booster. Reality is he has done little to affect the unemployment rate and state reserves.
ReplyDeleteMitch, Bosma, Turner, Ballard,Hunter, and now Mike: and many more fit the description based on power plays, corruption, pay to play and more.
ReplyDeleteTraits and signs narcissism:
Life is a stage, and when the curtain falls upon an act, it is finished and forgotten. The emptiness of such a life is beyond imagination.[5]

—Alexander Lowen, describing
the existence of a narcissist
Four dimensions of narcissism as a personality variable have been delineated: leadership/authority, superiority/arrogance, self-absorption/self-admiration, and exploitativeness/entitlement.[6]
A 2012 book on power-hungry narcissists suggests that narcissists typically display most, and sometimes all, of the following traits:[7]
An obvious self-focus in interpersonal exchanges
Problems in sustaining satisfying relationships
A lack of psychological awareness (see insight in psychology and psychiatry, egosyntonic)
Difficulty with empathy
Problems distinguishing the self from others (see narcissism and boundaries)
Hypersensitivity to any insults or imagined insults (see criticism and narcissists, narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury)
Vulnerability to shame rather than guilt
Haughty body language
Flattery towards people who admire and affirm them (narcissistic supply)
Detesting those who do not admire them (narcissistic abuse)
Using other people without considering the cost of doing so
Pretending to be more important than they really are
Bragging (subtly but persistently) and exaggerating their achievements
Claiming to be an "expert" at many things
Inability to view the world from the perspective of other people
Denial of remorse and gratitude
lol@sodom-on-potomac!
ReplyDeleteAlso, at least he's not Mitch. Conservative Mitch who gave us that judge who declared law enforcement could enter any home at any time for any reason, you know, like it says in the Constitution? Rinos are proof that the one party system works.
Yes, I am sure that the other 49 Governor's are emulating and lusting after Pence's stellar record on education in this, the year of education for Indiana. Let's look at this record.
ReplyDeleteFirst, he shamelessly caves in to the extreme right wingers in the party on the Common Core, which sets in motion the hysteria we see today over Indiana's "new" standards as well as the length of the ISTEP testing program. This pandering to the worst elements of the party (which is still not satisfied) also adds countless millions to the process of developing standards, testing and measuring test items, and on and on....
Secondly, ignoring centuries of state/federal education policy and administration, he decides to create his own agency (CECI) to bypass the Dept of Education, since that office is occupied by a gasp, Democrat. Given that almost all federal and state law and procedures recognize the SEA (that stands for state educational agency) in terms of funding and administration, we know how well that agency did....how's that working out for you, Mike?
Thirdly, we have the dunderheads that comprise our state board of education that have set the bar awfully low for education oversight and policy making. They have become a joke...
Yes, I am sure the Governors of the other states really wish they could be you Mike. Talk about delusional....
