Stutzman told the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette leadership's betrayal of his trust on the continuing resolution legislation last month known as Cromnibus sealed his opposition to Boehner.
"One month after winning the 2014 midterm elections, the current House leadership forced members to vote on the ‘CROmnibus’ legislation less than three days after it was introduced, a violation of the spirit of the House of Representatives ‘three-day rule’ before voting on bills,” Stutzman wrote Monday. “Legislation that contains almost 1,700 pages of legal language deserves the time and attention required to comprehend its content before bringing it to the floor for a vote. Recorded votes that break our own rules are no better than ‘passing a bill so we can find out what’s in it’. It is a dangerous practice that consistently results in laws that are detrimental for the American people. This type of disregard for regular order and other similar actions will not do anything to build the trust of the American people. We can and must do better."
"I’ve been in regular contact with leadership before and after my public statement of disappointment in the passage of the 2014 ‘CROmnibus’ bill,” he wrote. “Out of respect for the process and those in positions of elected leadership in the House, I’ve worked to resolve these issues with them individually."It is my belief that Boehner has been too corrupted by Washington influence. If he hasn't been blackmailed because of something he did in the past, then I don't know how to explain his actions. It is unfortunate that the rest of Indiana's Hoosier delegation is so beholden to Washington lobbyists that they will sell out their own constituents to protect this corrupt leadership team of which one of our, U.S. Rep. Luke Messer, is a part. Anyone familiar with his background knows that any leadership team of which he is a part must be corrupted. He represents the worst of what the Republican establishment is all about in Indiana.
UPDATE: The Hill provides a list of 25 bold Republicans who said no to their bribe up and blackmailed Speaker. Sadly, only three freshman Republicans voted against Boehner, which speaks little of the independence of the freshman class. Expect nothing nothing but deals to benefit the ruling 1% from this lousy RINO-controlled Congress.

Your comment on Boehner dovetails nicely with your previous article on Smoking Joe Hogsett's Campaign Contributions. Boehner, Hogsett and almost any other Elected Official or want to be Elected Official must first satisfy those with enough cash that they represent the interests of the 1% or Crony-Capitalists. I had a 99% Level of Confidence back in 2008 that Obama would represent the interests of his campaign contributors, Big Financial Institutions and the Wall Street-Security-Military-Industrial Complex.
ReplyDeleteBoehner, Pelosi, Reid and McConnell are failures as leaders to most Americans, their purpose is obstruct any constructive change whether it comes from the Right or Left.
Keep calling Indiana's reps in DC today! Leadership is a No-Boehner!
ReplyDeleteGreat column, as usual, but my fears are that moron establishment RINO Republican Boehner will be victorious. There really is no such thing as a "New Congress" regardless of Matt Drudge's headline today. Like Indy, the nation has the same people in power no matter what the voters says... it's merely a rearrangement of the Titanic deck chairs.
ReplyDeleteI have little doubt the 5th Congressional Republican politician, Susan (Mr. David) Brooks, will vote with the toadies who support Boehner. Susan Brooks, wife of Indianapolis/Carmel Republican hatchment David Brooks, quickly became one of Boehner's ass-kissers from the moment she was elected with the help of a mate who reconciled north side precinct districts.
Who cares who else they pick? Are there any good Republicans?
ReplyDeleteEvery Republican is an AIPAC, Evangelical, pro-war kook.
"Listen, Caroline Glick, dear friend, is over here — there is no two-state solution, and as my friend, Joel Rosenberg points out, it’s in the book of Joel that those countries that have divided Israel are going to be judged, and it’s not going to be good. We don’t need to be forcing them to give away Samaria and Judea. I mean King David ruled in Hebron for seven years before he moved the capital up to the City of David, up to Jerusalem. How is that not theirs? We need to be their best friend because they want to be our best friend, and they appreciate life the way we do and like no other countries there. Now, I had a bunch of AIPAC folks come see me and try to convince me that I was wrong about Morsi, that he could be worked with, that he’s trying to clean out the Sinai, and I said, “Let me tell you, when somebody says you’re descendent from apes and pigs, he’s probably not your friend.” He’s not. Well, now we know for sure the Sinai, some of the military leaders in Egypt said, “We believe there are more weapons per person in the Sinai than anywhere else in the world and we’re doing all we can, but it would help if we had the things that were promised to Morsi, the tanks, the planes, the Apaches.” We ought to be doing that."

At least Boehner is a Roman Catholic and doesn't believe all this Old Testament nonsense that has no place in Christianity and is not part of any real Christian church.
With the help of RINO alleged-Republican Susan Brooks, head rat Boehner retains his position and is now at hand dropping the guillotine on those who voted for REAL conservative leadership.
ReplyDeleteWhen will the morons of the 5th Congressional District wake up???
