Andre Carson Hanging On To His Rangel Money

While U.S. Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D-IN) and U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly gave up donations they received from U.S. Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), the former powerful chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee, by returning or donating the contributions to charities, U.S. Rep. Andre Carson is hanging on to his Rangel money. Carson has received $10,000 in contributions from Rangel, who is facing a number of ethics charges brought against him by the House Ethics Committee involving self-dealing and misuse of his congressional office. Will the local news media ask Carson if he's going to give up his Rangel money?

  1. AI, when will we get a decent candidate?

  2. I have always found it really bizarre that Reps are themselves live in a their own little socialistic subculture, where they are routinely redistributing 'wealth' among themselves.

It's no wonder, I suppose, that they are constantly trying to turn the whole nation into a socialistic culture.

  3. If you go to each of the news channel tip lines, you can call them. I've found they are very good about following up on tips.

If 10 people called them, I bet they'd do a story.

    I'd start with Fox59.

  4. We'll find plenty of good candidates if the GOP takes control of the legislature and splits Marion County into two congressional districts instead of packing the most Democratic areas of the county into the 7th district.

  5. So, Brizzi can hang on to his blood money from Tim Durham, and Carson is castigated for Rangel contributions?

    Can you say double standard?

  6. Carson has accepted donations of stolen money, he has accepted donations from Muslim extremist with connections to terrorists and he has now accepted dirty money from Rangel.

Is there anyone who Andre Carson won't accept donations from? I don't think so.
Whatever Brizzi has done has nothing to do with Carson. Both are wrong. Brizzi isn’t running for re-election, Andre is.

We all need to remember that's its as easy as A, B, C come November. Anybody But Carson.

  7. Carson certainly does not need Rangel's money to be reelected, and I hope he gives it back, but doubt that he will. It will be interesting to hear him explain his reluctance.
