Can You Say R-I-C-O?
It's beginning to look a lot like a banner year for white collar criminal defense attorneys in Indianapolis. Tim Durham may just be one of many big-time Indianapolis players under examination by federal investigators. It may turn out that some so-called successful business people haven't been on the up-and-up in all of their business dealings and may have abused access and influence with local law enforcement officials. Has this investigation outgrown the U.S. Attorney's Office in Indianapolis, which has a bad track record when it comes to prosecuting public corruption cases? Will the Public Integrity Section in the the Justice Department assume control of this far-reaching investigation? Just a few things to ponder on a blustery December afternoon.
Several readers of your blog have been saying RICO since the days of the Ballard campaign. Heck one guy over on Abdul's blog even calls himself "RICO".
ReplyDeleteI think the only person who can't say RICO is Brizzi. And that's sad for The People, cause it's his job to be able to pronounce those big acronymns.
